According to news reports Kevin Reynolds and the CFMEU will run candidates in the next state election.
Assuming the Union approves of its money being spent this way I don't have a problem with it.
With the possibility of winning seats in the Legaslative Council and possibly one or two Assembly seats this could be a small shift in the balance of power in WA Politics. Or will it?
Will the CFMEU backed Independents preference the Liberals ahead of the ALP as did the DLP? One thinks not. So all we will have is the possibility of some left of right (there are no genuine left of lefts any more) no ALP members being elected who are likely to vote with the ALP on most issues. |

| Latest news is that Reynolds faces a union ballot for his job, not before time, so this might all blow over. He was supporting his Mrs and maybe Bob Kucera but doubtless there will be others. |

| If the Union members were to operate the system correctly then KR and the like J McD would have been out of a job years ago. They are both now Millionaires and dont give a stuff about the members--only what they can get out of it. The Union is to blame for most of the *** ---complacency is a good word and people like KR love it-----a contract is a contract think about it There could be a good one issued |
