Troy Buswell Reply to this message
If a lying ,backstabbing, drunken, chauveniust-is the best the Liberal party have to replace the bland Paul Omedai; the Liberal party are surely in a lot of trouble!

If this is the image we are supposed to look up to-it says little for the morals of the party concerned.Or maybe it just confirms an image people have of their politicians!

Colin Barnett has stated, that he only knows of two leadership challenges';well if Buswell challenges-it will be three and he will have been involved in two of them!
An unenviable record!

Can we trust a potential leader ;who has stabbed two of his own leaders in the back, in the space of a little over a year while lying though his teeth about his objective.

That must be some sort of record!

Re:Troy Buswell Reply to this message
I believe the "politicians" on both sides that we have in this state at present are the most pathetic excuses of so called representatives of the people that have ever disgraced the West Australian parliament.

Re:Troy Buswell Reply to this message
My hope is that Buswell will keep the consensus going that Carpenter and Omedi have agreed on that Perth needs dragging kicking and screaming out of the past.
At present we have a bipartisan agreement that we need 7 day trading, Daylight saving and a host of other things such as the new liquor laws etc. to bring WA into at least the present and possibly even the future.

Re:Troy Buswell Reply to this message
Oh for goodness sake - once again Aus has hijacked the topic and turned it into the nonsense.

TROY BUSWELL - the topic here - has certainly done the dysfunctional Liberals in WA no favours. While most pollies representing us start off as generally being the average person, poor Troy's behaviour of late isnt really befitting of what I would expect should he be representing me.

Re:Troy Buswell Reply to this message
So he got drunk (terrible thing to do, politicians aren't allowed to get drunk or have fun) ... he snapped someones bra (that lady has said it was inappropiate, she is over it so obviously no malice or derogative meaning behind it in her mind) ... he is a liar because he challenges his leaders?? (only thing I could work out he is lying about - other than atypical polly lies)

Does the repeated line in the movie 'Hot Fuzz' perhaps come into play here too ... "for the greater good" (something to ligthen up your day if you know what I am on about)

Re:Troy Buswell Reply to this message
no hes a liar-because he said he would support his mate matt birney but when it came down to the vote; the conniving backstabbing jackel-who has his sights set firmly on the main seat;voted against him.

Knowing he had more chance of rolling the very blah Omedie in the leaders role; than if Birney had remained and he had challenged him.

as to the bra snaping-when I was at school-they stopped the boys doing that as sexual harrassment-wonder Troy went to school-not yet grown up it seems.

being drunk is one thing-being drunk on the job-he is highly piad for:is another.
There are few places you dont get sacked for being drunk on the job!
If this is the best the Libs can dish up-they are in deep do do!

Thats all good - getting drunk is probably one of my favourite past times but there is a time and a place for everything and the workplace isn't one of them.

And as for snapping someones bra - no problem in the right place at the right time with the right person!

As for lying and backstabbing well that is all just part of the job unfortunatly and to be expected of any politician.

What a choice. No wonder the liberals are in opposition. That is where they will stay until a person of substance comes along.

Re:Troy Buswell Reply to this message
probably correct, but as long as he agrees with Omedi that the libs will continue to take a bipartisan approach with the labour party to drag WA into the present it is all good.

Re:Troy Buswell Reply to this message
agree-neon-if thats all they have on offer; they are in a sad state ;so even if people dont like the Labor party-tbey should make up their mind to another few years under them; till the libs can pull a rabbit out of the hat.

My conundrum is:
Buswell helped roll Birney ,by telling him he would vote for him to give him the numbers to keep his position-but he already knew he was going to support Omedie and vote with those who preffered Omedie to Birney.

OK]-so the 50% who voted for Omedie-were also on the side of Buswell?
Now Omedie didnt stand for the position-so the 50% who prenously voted for omedia must have changed their allegiances and decided to vote for Buswell-who was again stabbing his leader in the back after only 12 months.

This is a very confusing scenario-and doesnt bode well for the morals of those we are suposed to look up to in highly paid places.

Forget the minor indescretions of Ben Cousins-this is a whole new and contemptable ball game.

Two leaders backstabbed and rolled in the space of 12 months by a self serving backstabbing liar.
and he one day may be in charge of this state.
The mind boggles.

70% of those who phoned the poll on GWN -said he should not be leader.

Seems the general public have more morals than our politicians.

Re:Troy Buswell Reply to this message
If Buswell and Carpenter carry on with the agreements that Omedi and Carpenter had then this state just maybe dragged into the present. WA = Wait Awhile, we have found that out.
WA is 20 years behind the other states.
