| blackmansusie thanks for that. i have only got a week to go now before i head to perth, so i will definitely be doing my marcasta course when i get there and also the premedical that has to be done before stepping foot in a mining place, so i will have all the things i need under my belt and will take it from there. That is good your son got offered a job even though he couldn't accept it because he was returning to nz. |

| mining jobs for women... I can just see all those massive trucks bumbling round the place and running into each other, and dumping loads of dirt everywhere at random as they jostle with the controls. And for heavens sake, dont let them near the dynamite, that would be a silly idea. |

| hi there byron the makeup artist. For admin jobs just look up mining jobs and then in the search in the particular mining web site you look at put in admin or office jobs and it will come up with jobs that are available. the only thing is they require at least 1 to 2 years administration back ground. But all mining industry places still need white collar workers too, so just check out the jobs available in the mining sector. They don't do the long hours or the long weeks for admin workers. hope that helps |

| nathanzachary obviously you don't know to many dump truck drivers as most of them being employed now are woman as they make better drivers on the bigger machines as they don't drive them like fricken cowboys like the stupid men do so there are less accidents with woman at the wheel. |

| pathogan you obviously are narrow minded too . as for woman bumbling around in massive truck banging into each other i thought that was just something men do all on their own. As for the dynamite bring it on, i am good with explosives and would have no trouble blowing up a large piece of earth for the miners next pit. |

Hi guys, Another good job for men and women interested in getting into the mining industry is as Pit technician or a Field Assistant. Pit technicians are people that work along side the geogolists inside the pits to work out the different grades, high amount of women do this. Field assistant work in helping the geogolists in their work, normally in the exploration area. Some heavy lifting is required and you need to have a full MANUAL car licence as you need to be able to drive the 4x4 utes. For the New Zealander you need an OZZY police clearance, sometimes the companies will sort this out for you as National police clearnace can be a pain obtaining. On the subject you need to obtain national police clearance from the state you reside in and can take up to 10 days to recieve.

Are there any jobs going in newman for pit techs? Also to get a tax file for inland revenue number can that be done on line? |

Archaic mentality, what on earth makes you think women can not use their eye and hand co-ordination better than males? The only eye and hand co-ordination I can see a male demonstrate is: left Tit’, right Tit’s and so on…. Women do not have to physically carry the trucks you half wit baboon. I do have previous admin experience :) so the hours arent as long? im thinking about truck driving. would that pay more? also i will be going with my partner - i heard that if you go with your partner - they seperate you and dont put you in the same bunk and do not let you see each other. is this true? |

| Hi bryon makeup artist, office work is inside the money is always good for office workers too. Truck driving, well that is so hard to get into , even for those that have had 25 years driving heavy rigs don't always get the jobs. So i would say if you can get in with an office job or something else, then you can always enquire about truck driving later on, if thats what you want to do . I got my truck licence especially for driving trucks in aussie but i will do any other job to get my foot in the door and may never do the truckie thing, most other jobs whether cleaning or cooking in the mining industry are on similar par to the other jobs its just the long hours and weeks on that give you the extra money. |

We have a resident troll here ausgal that should be able to shed some light (DAYlight infact) on all mining and construction Jobs in WA.
She's an Expert since us locals are all too Unionised and lazy to work. |

| hi byron the makeup artist, try looking in the google search engine and type in mining jobs in northern queensland, hospitality or whatever division you want and then it will come up with pages of job companies who employ up that end, or look up mining companies in queensland and they may have other sites in northern queensland too, hope that helps you. |
