I need your help melbourners.
Im going to stay at a hotel across southbank melbourne called the quay west suites.
I am going to then go to coles to buy food.. coles is around the corner of flinders st the city somewhere there.
I want to know the quickest way to get to the hotel with all the shopping food bags because i dont want to go all over the place to get to the hotel.
I will be walking pass that old bridge then i see federation s qaure beside me and then cross the road from flinders st and to to coles.
But i also found out that there is a short track where i think you walk thru the train station and then goes pass a pedestrian bridge at southbank ?
If thats the short part to get to the hotel. Im wondering if its free to go thru the station just to cross over southbank ? maybe its the shortest way to get to the hotel. But looking at the map it looks like the way i would walk to coles from the hotel is the same lenth as going to the short way.
I dont no i just want the safest and easiest but not longest to get back to the hotel even going to coles rather then going around areas to get there.
Ill be walking. I wouldnt think it would be great to get a taxi from quay west suites to flinders st coles store. Quay west suites is on the edge side of the old bridge where cars goes by.
Someone please let me know. I am not from melbourne and want your help and tip here

the hotel is located at: 26 Southgate Avenue Southbank
Melbourne
So if your from melbourne and now your waya round exactly and nows where the nearest coles is in the city and nows exactly the quiest smartest way to get back to the hotel with all the shopping bags please let me know. Only you would know since im only a visitor :) im just planing my trip so i just dont want to walk half way miles to get to the hotel with all the shopping bags around me. |

| ...don't know if you are from a large city....ring the hotel and ask...perhaps there is a closer supermarket that may not be Coles. I'm from Melb and from what i know of the Flinders street/Southbank area, I probably wouldn't be attempting to walk the distance with heavy shopping bags..i'd estimate it would be more than 1 km ... |

thats quite rude and disrespectfull to argue at something where im only simply asking a melbournian person living in melbourne to give me directions.. Not here to *** about like some rude people do.
I know there is a coles cross the side of flinders st... But IS THERE A SHORT CUT TO GO STRAIGHT TO SOUTHBANK BY WALKING THRU THE TRAIN STATION. IF YES... ell first i want to point out that im only a tourist visitor to melbourne soon. and that oh though in my state we hear alot about murders at night on that old historic bridge in the city of melbourne. The bridge looks kinder like an old european british bridge design and aniways i hear murders dump dead people there. Wouldnt be suprise if this was to happen quite ofter the so what called mafia.
Thats why im not going to walk thru that bridge at night with my video camera. I could get my camera stolen and who knows what els..
But yes i was hopeing the short cut to the htoel to coles..
Yes i know where coles IS but getting back do i walk pass federation sqaure and then the old historic bridge or go thru a tuinner via the station cross to the pedestrian bridge at southbank yarra river ? again i wonder if its safe to go thru the tunnel yet i dont no if theres such a tunnel pedestrian where peole walk... oh though im not going to buy a ticket just to pass thru it im not going to catch a train.
Plus i need the quickest way because too much heavy plastic bags all over me and people would look at me and if the plastic bags breaks it sall over the road the food.
Now the melbourne map will show everything but it will not sure either there is a tunnel pass thru the station to the pedestrian bridge.. Yes it will show the pedestrian bridge but how do i know theres a short cut? the map dosnt show whatys inside a building if you didnt new that.
If you do think it does well show the map so i can see it.
I just want short cuts..
Please be ncie to me im just a visitor and i want directions not thru alleyways in these dark ages areas its too dangeriouse... only gangs and stuff hang thru there.. |

You tell me you fool where ont he map would show me a short cut to the hotel? all i can see if roads... and streets what more do you expect a map to show? pavelon with the faulty towers obove the melbourne deferation sqaure? how about san franciso bridge over coles store... how about the zoo infront of the bridge you fool... You really have to be insane not to give the correct information GROW UP please KIDS.... Just grow up... and you sure dont expect the map to even show inside buildings either..

All i know is going to coles in the city of melbourne and back to southbank quay west suite melbourne hotel... and that is getting out of coles then turn your right to flinders st.. then cross the road from federation sqaure and pass the old bridge and just on the side is the hotel on the left side.
So thats the long way..
But i dont no if its still same lenth as going thru the short way if its of any safe to go thru the tunnel were people walk in and out.
So the map wont show me the inside station coruse it is a walk thru inside and the map wont show such thing but just the building itself.
Anyways enough is said if anyone nice can help ill be granded to fine out with all due respect thank you...... |

| ..i don't know if there is a tunnel that connects up with any bridge...what i do know is if you want to enter Flinders Street station you need to insert a ticket to get through the barrier....so yes, you'd have to pay..why don't you ring the hotel and ask if there's a handy supermarket on the same side of the Yarra as the hotel???? |

| There is an underpass that goes from Southbank to Elizabeth St. Use the foot bridge over the Yarra and it leads straight to the underpass. Is fairly safe if people use a bit of commonsense. |
