I live up in the Eltham area. Every little sound is magnified by the hills. What is it with all the little yappy dogs in the area?
All night sometimes! Can't the owners hear them? I love dogs and have one myself but I make sure she keeps quiet.
I have actually thought about kid(dog) napping one near us and taking it for a ride. Wouldn't hurt it but.................it needs a good kick up the tail. Have spoken to owners several times. They don't care. Maybe THEY need a kick up the tail. |

There seems to be more and more jack russells around these days... they are the yappiest of them all.... bleh.....
Does it happen every night or some nights? Could be the dog doesn't like it when left alone.
I'm sure you can file noise complaints with the council or police. Maybe then the owners will take notice... Or plot revenge against you, so be careful!!
What ever you do, don't do any dognapping. You must stay completely crime free in this. |

| I have two jack russells and they don't yap at all. When someone comes to our front door they do make a noise - but it is a definite bark, not a yap!!! |

| There are 3 rules for dogs. They must look like a dog, act like a dog, and know they are a dog. Small dogs, yap yaps in particular, fail all 3. |

| The last thing I would ever do is hurt an animal but constant yapping ALL night, every night would drive anyone crazy. Council too full of red tape to help. Might have to move house. |

Or you could get some Lorikeets or something similarly screechy and position the cage right near the neighbours... Perhaps they will soon get the message?
Or type up an official looking letter giving them a warning? |

| Thought about doing the official letter thing. Scanning Council heading and writing a stiff (on a piece of cardboard) warning. Would that be fraud? Maybe just buy myself some Industrial strength earplugs! |

Why should you have to suffer because the owners are selfish?
It probably would be fraud but I doubt the ramifications would be severe. Just make sure you don't sign it from you!
Have you called the local cop shop to check out your options there? Councils are useless cops may be better. |

| Write to the Premier of WA, ask him to send you some of them what rocked up on the last boat from across the sea and move them into your neighborhood,I reckon the yapping will quiet down considerably, not hard to catch those small yappers and darn fine with Tobasco Im told. |
