What going on in our secondary schools
Teachers who can't teah math!!!
One youngster in particular i know, is frustrated, he's in yr 6 and his teachers gives him math, then when he need help working it out, the teachers says, i can't and don't have time to help you.
come see me after school!! then when the kid trys to make time with the teacher after school, the teacher keeps putting him off......apparently all the kids in the class are having that trouble with him....And it seems the principal is never at school, and the assistant Principal doesn't want to know? I would really love to name and shame the school here........ But i'm sure it wouldn't help!!
So To whom could i complain........NO wonder our kids are struggling.....and aren't making it in the world they should be!!!! |

This was going on 15 years ago when I was in school.
You would vomit if you knew the budget $ per child, for resources etc that many public schools work within.
Oh and dont forget tha fact that dependant on the socioeconomic area that the school is in also depends on any extra funding brought in by paying the piddly voluntary school fees also.
Frankly why more folks DONT home school is beyond me. Better resorces available, childs needs are catered for, socilaisation can still happen but with folks of all ages and a bundle of forced social pressures are gone.
Meh, sadly it comes down to the almighty dollar. |

You can complain to the Education Department office on your area. Good luck though, they cover their butts better then politicians. Seriously.
Id suggest getting a heap of parents together to go to the next P and C or P and F( depending what your school calls it) and make a direct complain tto the Principal there. You will find that either he or the Deputy will be in attendance.
Good luck. |

| great idea about the parents and teachers meeeting that would be the best time to bring it up,,just try and get as many people who are disapointed in the school to attend and voice your opinion,,schools have been bad for decades,,i left school in 1975 and in the last 2 years of high school we had an Indian English teacher who couldnt speak English properly at all..all he was good for was giving us the cane,, |

right tx Weare. I taught this child english when he was just a tike. preschool. and the rest of his family.
they are non english speakers still today. :( Except for the kids. So they are left to cope on their own. parent+t meetings! well i doubt if they would get there to it.as their english is so poor.
but i will work on it. I have been out of school system for many yrs. I'm shocked.
I thought cane went out with the Straps! Weare! HOMe Schooling.....OH hell no they would only speak their own language then...sigh and all my hard work will have gone to pot.? |

| This is exactly why so many families - and not rich ones either - send their kids to private schools. |
