Took a drive out to Eynesbury today.
http://www.eynesbury.com.au/

This is a new estate adjacent to Exford.

So far there are 3 display homes open, as well as the 18 hole Golf Course, Pro Shop, Function Centre and Cafe.

There is only 1 home so far finished, and occupied.

Firstly drove around the precinct.

The main roadway is very nice, with dedicated bicycle lanes.

Alas, the block sizes were not of any great size. Some we noted were as small as 360 m2 in total size....which we believe is known as a "cluster block".

We scoped out the display homes.

In one of them, the Sales Rep was keen to chat with us...even asking in hope, "Oh...Have we met before? Perhaps last week?"

To which Trish replied, "No. We are only here to sticky beak."

Internally we laughed when the sales rep stated that, "Eynesbury will put Victoria on the map!".

Lastly we went to the cafe for lunch.

We struck up a conversation with the young lady behind the counter.

She stated that the cafe had opened in May, 2006.

During the winter months, they often only saw a single patron each working day.

Now that one property had been settled (approximately 2 weeks ago), the owner of that property turns up at the cafe each morning for his morning coffee.....and the cafe staff look forward to his arrival each day!

Overall, we saw many people scoping out the area....and many lots showed SOLD signs.

It may well be a nice area to live in for those who want the Craigieburn experience, but in the Far Western Suburbs.

If you drive from Melton South, heading towards Geelong, the first town you get to is Exford.

It is a small, rural community.

Eynesbury will supposedly support 9000 residents....which will dwarf the population of Exford.

You mean those who want cheap drugs, no public transport and poorly built houses. Just another ghetto in the making

What are you going on about? It's a rural township and hardly going to become a 'ghetto'.

A few years ago they build an estate on the old Williamstown Rifle Range. Within a couple of years it was a ghetto. Most of these cheap estates end up the same way
