| Just curious about what happens if you don't pay a parking fine. Have an argument with my local council and am refusing to pay a fine. Do they take you to court etc ?? |

yes they do or sheriff does and they usually win and you end up with triple of what you had, so my advice is to pay it or try to make a payment arrangement etc with sheriffs office.
I know they are blood suckers, if you had photo evidence to show then that may get you off. |

| I've accumulated a couple and had the sheriff at my door years ago. Made a payment plan but didn't stick to it. Still haven't paid the fines............ |

whoops, I forgot you were around Lilacz... just ignore my previous post please.. Have never and would never do anything of the sort. On the very rare occasions I have received a fine (of course for when others were driving my car) I have paid them promptly and without fuss....
That is my story and i'm sticking to it! |

Apparently there are new laws that if you dont pay, you cannot renew the registration on the veichle..........
They always get you in the end. |

I was issued a parking fine, only a week or two after they introduced them up here to make some bucks.
Thing is, it was a pay-and-display carpark and I had the ticket on the dash facing up where it should be.
I emailed the council a letter and scanned the ticket for them, and they sent a patronising reply "...on this occasion council has decided to take no further action..."
So, I'd say sometimes its just a try-on as most people might not keep the ticket for as long as I did, or might be travellers who dont remember details about a month ago...
The weakness, is that although I was genuine, I could have just picked up any old ticket from the ground and showed them. And yes, if they didnt listen, I was just going to take goods to the value... |

ndian taxi drivers should be the onces to pay a fine WITH THIER OWN MONEY not us people. though ic ant drive because i have a hump bacg thing on my upper leg where i have to walk with one walking stick. and that i did seen many people getting fines from parking at the disabillity support parking areas. Yet i think people NEED to understand the disabillity support parkings are for these who are on a wheelchair. it does not count either your sweet 18 or 40 or 70 by all means.
Aniways theres something i cant stand taxi drivers just bad experiences and the end goes there.. just sick of them i get sick even think about indians in australia. The fools are grounded no wonder why they sound like a bunch of morrons in australia. But i respect indians but not the indian morron taxi drivers. Sorry but i had a bad experiences in melbourne. |
