| did you know across Victoria less than %12.5 of water is used residentially thats only 2,000ML more than our loss of 444,000ML a yr, no amount of tap turning off will solve this problem unless of course you believe every body can live off 2,000ML a year, and to cut water usage by farmers more would also be a problem because a desalination plant costs $.75 to $1.1 billion a yr yet farming produces more than $8 billion a yr |

| No. The government needs to look at less energy intensive responses to water needs, such as a pipeline from Tasmania, a requirement for new estates to be water efficient and a permanent restriction on water waste. |

For those who think the Tasmania pipeline is a "stupid" idea; I recall reading an article on this alternative water source late last year and believe it is much more economically and environmentally friendly solution, capable of supplying the much needed water. Here are the links to two articles that I recommend people have a look at:

I hope people take the time to read these! =] |

NO NO NO NO DESAL FOR WONTHAGGI. HOw Big ? The size of the MCG x 10 ? No thanks... We don't want this huge ugly toxic, Energy consuming, marine consuming and expensive option.... WE WANT EDUCATION FOR THE COMMUNITY, MORE DAMS, MORE WATER TANKS etc., & ask all Melbournians to adhere to the rules of the STage 4 Water Restrictions Gippsland has been on. Do you realise how many tonnes of dead marine life, salt and debris are going to be removed from the site at Kilcunda ?
WATER YES, DESAL NO

| The question should be does South East Australia need a desal plant as the benefits could stretch along way and the answer would be YES |
