Hi....my husband and I along with our 8yr old daughter are looking to relocate...a seachange!!! We are currently living in Ballarat area after spending past 9yrs at Sunshine Coast,Qld and WA. My husband is working in mines in WA and has been doing so for past 4yrs. We are looking for opportunity to relocate where our family can be together...we are open to anything. My husband has been a Concretor for 14yrs and I am studying to be a Counsellor aswell as serving in our Church. We do love Qld but open to suggestions.

West of Ballarat is Hamilton (up the Glenelg Hwy) and the Iluca mine not far from there might have work. Your hubby can work there, which is daytime work only.
If you have another area/ state in mind try seeing where some Boral sites are, or perhaps Hanson. THey have quarries and concrete plants all over the country.
As for your counselling, if there is a good church org a nis ation in the township see if they might like your help. Otherwise try the salvation army office, anglicare or similar, even something targeted at farming families.

Hi Jodes!
If you're game to be very adventurous there is work up in the mines near Gladstone in Queensland.
My cousins' son and his wife who just got married March 12 months ago and are only in their mid 20's went up there to work. The money is good and you are with in striking distance of the University of Central Queensland for post - grad studies in social work.

Hi Anne...thank you so much for info. What do you mean if we are game enough...is that good or bad?? Have you been to Airlie Bch before...I am feeling guided toward that way. My hubby has a brother in Townsville who is in great need of Gods love-ALOT of issues...which is our reason for heading up in the first place...God has put it on our hearts...not to rescue him,just to see Gods love,hope and truth.
