I posted this in 'top stories' by accident yesterday (1st time user).
Remember a while ago there was a fuss about doors on trains opening while the train was moving? It seemed to be forgotten and dismissed by Connex.
Here is a video that proves that is it still occurring:

I recorded this yesterday at Flinders Street. Does anyone have an opinion on this? |

| If this is occurring then it is distressing our trains are not supposed to operate if the doors are open even slightly. Was it an old sweat box or one of the newer models as I am sure the newer ones will not operate in that fashion, as I find it is a nuisance that many trains I have travelled on are delayed because some smart ar se has put something in the doorway to prevent them from closing. |

It was one of the old sweatboxes (the Hitachi trains). I went and reported it to the Connex officer that was nearby, and he simply said that it was impossible, but when I showed him the video that was on my camera, he said he would report it (whether he did or not is another story).
I am 99% sure that it was the 4:43pm train to Epping, as I took the 4:49 to Hurstbridge. It had just come from a service from either Lilydale or Belgrave, as I was on it.
I hope something is done about this. |
