Thinking of buying a unit in Torquay. Does anyone have any opinions FOR or AGAINST Torquay? Don't know the area well as I live in the west, but am looking for somewhere cool (cool as in weather, not cool as in 'cool Dude!').
Would appreciate any comments.

| Yeah, Torquay is ok, maybe a little pricey. But stay away from Geelong, it's a dump. If they were to give Australia an enema thats where they would stick the tube. |

| Torquay is a lovely place, but as it is so close to Melb, it has been overdeveloped as far as I'm concerned. Tourists abound all year, and it is just crazy over summer. I'd personally move a bit further along the coast. |

Thanks for those comments people, that has been really helpful. Especially the enema bit, ha! I deliberately steered clear of Geelong although the only time I visited it I thought it was quite nice. But I was thinking it would good to be close enough to visit it for a few hours' shopping, but not close enough to be a part of it.
I will also look further along the Great Ocean Road. |
