I am stunned to hear that milk is genetically modified, well thats the news in melbourne. An Ad on tv in melbourne is showing A2 milk as being the one you should drink, and its states, it is not genetically modified. I"M stunned.
But regardless, i guess that be why so many are suffering allergies, i know i can't drink normal milk, and will not drink soy. yukky stuff! well if i could buy the A2 milk i would, but its not in my supermarket yet. be nice if they put it in the supermarkets before advertising on teli? got to be worth trying, i wonder if it will be more expensive tho.....Probably! |

The origin of our special milk: how a2 milk is made
The single most important factor in producing our delicious a2 milk is to find the right dairy cows.
Unlike other dairy farmers, our farmers use only cows which naturally produce milk rich in A2 beta casein.
How do we know which cows produce A2 beta casein?
We test them! Using innovative technology developed by A2 Corporation Ltd, we identify the best cows using a simple and non-invasive DNA test, using a sample hair from the tail of each dairy cow.
Once the cows are identified as producers of A2 beta casein, the farmer then separates out the A2 certified cows from their herds and milks them separately to produce pure and natural a2 milk.

'can you tell me what is special about the A2 beta casein?'
About 25-30% of the protein in cows’ milk is β-casein and it comes in several
forms depending on the genetic make up of the cows. One of the forms is
called A1 β-casein and it has been suggested that it might cause or aggravate
one type 1 diabetes (which is the type seen most commonly in children), heart
disease, schizophrenia, and autism. The other main form of β-casein is called
A2 and it has not been not been implicated in these diseases. The evidence
to support the hypothesis that the A1/A2 composition of milk is a causative or
protective factor in these diseases is reviewed in the report.

buzz this may or may not be so, but i have diabeties type 2, and got it via medications given to me by doctors! WHAT Are we to beleive in this day and age, every body has an opinion. perhaps in the residue of the chemicals they put on our foods is the cause. one really wouldn't know, because they don't tell us nothing except when its to make an almight dollar? except i know this once upon a time i could drink milk, no problem, nowadays it makes me bloated. well anyway i have tried the A2, and it doesn't make me bloated, so its a good start. we shall see how it goes further along. i wonder if my bowels will still work tho!!!!!!

I would suspect it has more to do with what the cows eat but don't mind me us country boys just seem to simplify things.

Hmm .. well yeh I can beleive very much off what you have found but then its only logical to know that most of the milk is or can contain somesort of hormone as they make the cows produce more milk by injections.. anyhow out of interest have you tried something called Rice Dream .. not as heavy as soya milk .. hope it helps

I cant wait for them to GM milk so it tastes like the milo is already added to it. This would save washing up a teaspoon, and stop the irritating way some people use a wet spoon in the tin and make an unsightly and diseased lump of filth in it.
