"The duck season back on".
Fine as long as the hunter is providing a Sunday roast, but slaughtering anything that flies or moves is a bit rich.
The dam behind me has domestic ducks and geese on it along with swans. You can bet they will be gone.
If I cop a pellet off the dam you blokes had better look out. |

| I whole heartedly agree. Instead of wasting time wading around public water systems polluting them with lead, maiming the wildlife and disturbing the peace.. why dont they go to the local butchers and get a nice plump domestic bred table bird and let the rest of us live our lives in peace!! |

| I used to shoot ducks with a .22. saved having to spit the pellets out. |

| I agree with you, I have shot ducks using a .22 as well on my favourite dam on my property. Not so many around this year, but there is nothing better than a wild duck baked in foil with a lot of butter. |

Hi
On a beautiful relaxing holiday to Tassie and wishing to settle there as it was so beautiful and relaxed and friendly i didn't see a problem with ducks.....
Rabbits were another story though
They were everywhere...sooo cool and exciting for a Qlder lol
And after doing the drives around Tassie i realised if i moved there i would never have to buy fresh meat again
Just go out for a drive at sunset and sunrise with my shovel and have all the road kill pizza i want.....
After all it is just fresh killed
Luv Deb |
