We have a pretty tough cat living with us, but not in your state
I had this cat once that HATED dogs. At the time I lived next to a catholic church & school. The priest had a german shepherd & he had to come over a few times to ask me to keep the cat in his own yard. Area used to be strawberry farm before being subdivided & there was a big really timber post in the corner adjacent to the church. Moggie used to wait on top of the post & until the hapless german shepherd was in range, he'd then jump on the poor beast and attempt to scratch it to death. Cat one dog nil. As any cat owner knows, an upset feline is one of the scariest creatures on the planet, and this one was certainly one to get mad when he felt the need. The sory is a bit more complicated, school kids usually played in the church grounds during lunch & some of them trhew rocks at the cat. He must have decided (being a good protestant kitty) that anything catholic was fair game :) |

You have just made yourself fair game. If you have never heard of or read about "Bloody Sunday" in Derry, I suggest you do. |

Actually my neighbour was mixed up in that stuff. We've had quite a few chuckles over the matter whilst enjoying the odd drop or twenty of Guinness |

Love it! Perhaps you ought to post that info on the Pitbull thread in top stories? Cats can be dangerous too!!! |

Moggie was (mostly) only dangerous to dogs although I dunno how catholics would fare. Apart from the priest, I never had any in the yard to find out. |

| It's the same as barking dogs. In some streets the noise is absurd as they all set each other off by barking at every passerby. If they're going to demonise cats then crack down on inconsiderate dog owners. Anyway cats are cool, not crab bait. |

| ill_be_back..... did that cat have it's owner's character traits? We owned a cat once (female) that everyone thoght was a male because of it's size and general grumpiness. The kids friends wld say quite rude things like "how many dogs has it killed and eaten today?) Talk about mean to a moggy! |

Most definitely, in fact my favourite T shirt says 'grumpy old man' !!! I'm thinking seriously of getting a couple of attack trained siamese cats. Friends with a Peugeot dealership have a few trained to claw the living daylights out of unwelcome 'guests' & they have proven to be exceedingly effective beasties. I prefer Burmese but haven't heard of any being trained like Siamese. |

Not at all. An upset cat is one of the scariest creatures on the planet. Needle sharp bits going every which way at three times the speed of light. |

ROFLMAO
Never been to the Mardi Gras in my entire life and have no intention of going. Partner is as female as they come and even more anti-h0m0sexual than moi. Last lesbian that made a pass at her still has the scratches on the dial after a couple of years |

culling the cats is a great thing. erradication of all cats wouldn't be going too far.
they are killing machines and destroy native wildlfe on a grand scale..All you nongs with these cat stories just reiterate reasons cats need to be controlled..
A land with no cats then a land with imposed cats surely tells you why...feral or otherwise they are all killing machines of the peaceful Australian fauna.
this is definitely a no brainer as to reasons why...? |
