5000+ people who support the pulp mill! Absolutely!
The greenies reckon they had around 10,000 - and they may be right! - they don't have jobs to go to so of course they had more at their rally! What else have they got?
We have jobs, want to support our families, give to the community and the greens....well...um....aa h,... nobody really knows what they do, apart from stopping progress in our state, not showering, no jobs, and spending tax payers hard earnt money..... for doing nothing!
Wake up greens ~ We will always have a logging industry in Tassie so get use to it! |

What happens when you have no trees to cut down any more???? even pine forests need time to grow. A hideous sight I must say.
I understand the loggers, but nothing is carved in stone. There must be something else they can do. Other people find jobs, why are loggers so different.

The loggers who are complaining already have jobs, their jobs are sustainable for years to come. There are thousands of acres of unused forestry ground in the north-west, waiting to be utilised. Employ more people and get it into growth and eventual production.
No, Forestry and Gunns want the whole of Tasmania available for forestry. Well you can't have it! Some of us like to eat our state's fish, beef, poultry, milk, fruit, vegetables, wine, nuts ... Not everyone wants to work in the forestry. |

Aah...............No, Don't think so! Sounds good though!
I look outside my backyard and see lots of kombies and old cars with 'The Greens' on them, spewing out pollution and exhaust fumes and they are worried about the Pulp Mill????!
Greenies are not concerned about our states future - they are anti-everything because they have nothing better to do - no jobs, oh, they do spend there time.......breaking the law, illegally entering forest coupes, tying themselves to our machines and disrupting traffic every time a log truck goes through the city.
WAKE UP WOMAN!

Might be wise to go on a Forestry Tour and then you'll know how it's done.
Haven't thought of moving - love Tassie and the Logging Industry too much to leave!!
Of course pine trees need time to grow - all trees need time to grow, don't they??!
It may be a hideous sight to see pine trees growing (your point of view?!) but no more hideous than the greenies out in our Forest Coupes setting up camps with no proper toilet facility in sight, rubbish strewn all over the place, camp fires lite everywhere (what wood do they burn?????????!!!!)
The Loggers are trying to do a job & contribute to the community.
The greenies only waste tax payers hard earned money.... how many times do the police/resources end up at the coupes to deal with & remove them! |

I see "miss loggerswife" is still ranting and obsessing about her "greenies".
We have rusty cars laying around these parts too - only they have stickers like "gun owners have rights too" on them. So what?
Mind you, the greenies you seem to see everywhere are certainly an industrious lot by your account - especially if they're "Disrupting traffic EVERY time a log truck goes thru the city!! LMAO It's a wonder the traffic ever flows smoothly in your city.
I still don't see what YOUR problem with a bunch of untidy ferals in combi vans who may or may not also be conservationists has to do with whether or not the pulp mill should go ahead - or with whether the democratic process has been well and truly murdered here in tasmania. Or even with why your hubby is so unable to think of anything else he might do for a living other than chop down trees.
But I can see there's no point engaging with miss loggerswife in any serious debate here.
She clearly can't see the forest for the trees.
Here's a little light relief you all might appreciate:

Oh and "coachjacki" if you and all the other greenies out there love trees so much, how about you and the rest of the greenies give the fire men a rest and go and risk your own life/lives to save homes, animals, money and our state! Because I would personally like to see that happen.
