in comparrison to the other states Tasmania is far better off.... |

The positive side to Tasmania is, what we have is still, heritage, wild or natural.The present government will make all this within 10years,.DISAPEAR.
Just when I was planning on escaping to someplace where so called 'developers' are persona non grata. How pray tell do the powers that be plan on allowing their scumbag developer mates access to national park & world heritage forest ?? |

However the Port Arthur massacre is not in the same league of the Bodies in the Barrels & The Family serial killings in SA
But SA is still holds the record for murders in the country. |

Im talking about recent times SCX. as by now people should no better! The slaughter of indiginous people is not isolated to Tasmania anyway! and they are still treated immorally on the mainland anyway..

If I wanted stinking hot then I'd stay in Queensland where it even rains occasionally & only some of the women wear things over their heads. Business growth is the last thing I need, trees with birds singing are far more restful than smog factories. |

Ill_be_back, You will certainly have alot of trees and birds in Tas!
Hows the plans going... are you still considering moving down here? There are other affordable places around besisides the Central Highlands area that you can get ADSL2 at if you look around. The Highlands is great however if the ADSL2 is a concern maybe not for you at this time.

| At least ADSL2 is essential & the central highlands is the most desirable location as the combination of national parks & world heritage forests mean it would be near impossible for any so called 'developers' to rape and pillage as they are wont to do. I'm watching the NBN roll-out, hopefully some of that will reach the highlands sometime in 2010 |
