Re-sign one day, axed the next Reply to this message
THE head of the Environment Department had his $280,000-a-year job deal renewed the day before the department was axed.

Mr Gadd, who is expected to be made redundant when his department ceases to exist on June 30, may now become eligible for a special government payout of more than $800,000 in lieu of the rest of his job contract.

He was originally appointed on a five-year contract which was due to expire on May 9 this year.

In November last year, Mr Gadd was reassured by the State Government, most likely by his direct superior Mr Edwards, that he would be reappointed when his contract came to an end in early May.

The Government has come under intense pressure to explain why it renewed the contract of Scott Gadd.

Let's not mentioned the word corruption!

It amazes me how this crew go from one bas tard act to the next and think they are bullet proof.

If Lennon ever fronts the parliamentary committee with a 'please explain' we could see a dissolution of parliament over Labor's affairs. The sooner the better.
