The Fleurieu Peninsula sweeps south from Adelaide down to Cape Jervis, ferry point to Kangaroo Island. A seriously good wine country with over 60 cellar doors & restaurants - it's a great spot for a few days. Conservation parks along the coastline offers vast beaches for walking/hiking, surfing & swimming. Victor Harbor has great whale watching from June to October.

| The Fleurieu Peninsula is a dustbowl most of the year. And wine has nothing to do with the physical beauty of a landscape. After 60 cellar doors you could be on Mars. |

Didn't care too much for Launceston when I was there, but I'd happily swap the climate right now, I LOVE that kind of weather! It never lasts and things freshen up so nicely afterwards. |

My mother lives in Victor Harbor and it has not had the same extreme weather as Adelaide. It is a lot milder, I should know, I visit there often in summer, and it's rarely as hot as Adelaide. I think once in 12 years, it was slightly warm, around 32 or 33. It simply does not have the same extreme temps for days on end. Really, this interstate weather bashing is childish. Tasmania is beautiful, cool and pretty. SA is a totally different climate, it's the driest state in the driest continent. Well known fact.
Matmo, you need to get over the fact you made the decision to move to Tasmania, you'll eventually stop missing us here in SA ;) I'd move there too if I could find work in the field I am in. Both states have wonderful things to offer! |

down here in sheffield and love it but why are rents soooo dear 3 bedroom house for $300 per week, iam staying at a retreat for $170 per night until we can find rental. liningup to view a rental place is not my idea of fun.
anybody know of a good place to rent here please help!!!
i didn't realise it was so expensive in tassie it's an eye opener coming from qld believe me. |
