| That's what I loved about Tassie, the different trees, the Huon Pines, the oaks, just beautiful. So green and pretty, the Bass state forest was breathtaking, and pretty cool temps when we passed through. I loved the park in Launceston, the conservatory was shut when we were there, sadly, but I will be back!!! |

No, we didn't get to the gorge, I have to say I was a bit put off by Launceston, the first time I drove in there, I got quite lost on the eastern approach, somehow, lol and a truck driver gave me a good bollocking for not moving fast enough. After that, sadly, I just drove in Launceston when we went to Beaconsfield and Devport etc, and then when we drove over to Scottsdale. Then when we left to go back to Hobart, I mapped it out very carefully to leave very smoothly and easily from York Street, where we had our apartment.
We did a lot of walking in Launceston, into the city and the park etc. Did stop and take pics of Aur ora Stadium on the way to Scottsdale. We also called into a lavender farm out that way, that was so totally beautiful!
I am planning a second trip later this year for another week, might come over as a passenger on the ferry, hire a car in Dev, drive up along the top down through Strahan, Hobart and back up east coast. I'd like to do a night tour at Port Arthur. |

Well maybe next time you are down here you can get to see the gorge dazedlady You would have had a pretty good view over the city staying in York street and fairly close to everything .
Oh and southern you idiot, Why don't you just go away, Everyone knows you don't like it here, You really are becoming a total bore !! |
