'A timber industry analyst says he is not sure Gunns $2billion pulp mill will ever be built because of delays in securing finance.
Robert Eastment believes financial reasons are behind the ANZ's decision to walk away from the project.
The ANZ announced yesterday it would not fund the mill.' |

| Still a long way to go in the pulp mill and most people are sick of hearing about it, hopefully they will decide either way soon. |

| Burnie city Council manager Paul Arnold was quoted as saying that the Pulp mill would have been built by now if Gunns had chosen the Hamshire Hills as its location. How very true it is and surely Gunns will rue their pigheadedness in ignoring this superior site to continually persue the Tamar Valley location. |

Well according to reports from the local media, the gunns pulp mill may not even be built now with the company's shares suddenly dropping in value, they are still unable to attract a fiancial backer for the project and the state goverment not giving any more extentions......
Note to Gunns.... GIVE UP ALREADY!!! |

| Gunns vought the Hampshire wood chip site off BHP, along with the plans for a closed loop pulp mill to be built alongside in order to coexist with Australian Pulp and Paper in Burnie. Yes, the mill would be operational by now and clean and using the plantation timber that was planted for such an industry. |
