WATER RESTRICTIONS ?

Although our Dams and reservoirs are being drained off to reduce over fill during the wettest winter Adelaide has seen for many a year we still have to endure with over zealous water restrictions ! Why ?
If the government sees fit to release large amounts from our water catchment's why at least can it not loosen up on washing the family car ? Whats the deal ? Who really wants to pay $10 to have their car washed at a local car wash when the heavens are causing a deluge and the government is quite prepared to pour it down the drains by the mega litre ? Not me !
