The Redcliffe peninsular is great if you want to be close to brissie but not too close.Nice and quiet at night, virtually no crime compared to Brissie,a really good "sea change" It`s the gold coast 35 years ago!!

you don't wanna live with the yuppies...so that strikes out brisbane, sunshine/gold coast. i can guarantee you your children will turn into druggos/plastic bimbos. If you want some lifestyle, i'd suggest anything from Yeppon (great keppel island region) to Townsville.

caboolture is a good start. we are north of brisbane, about 1/2 hour drive. then in the other direction we have the sunshine coast. also 20 minutes away from bribie island..plenty of places to go, and see....living away from the hussle and bussle is good.....

The far north, no question about it...
I suggest about 80-100 km inland pretty well anywhere along the coast.
Failing that, maybe the Goldy. |

i like the little country towns around Toowoomba, my reason being is that they are close to the coast, Toowoomba is near by with out driving too far, they still have that country and quite atmosphere, the outside areas are also cheaper to live then most places. well thats just what i think anyway..... good luck!!!
