For someone claiming to be from England, your English is total crap

You cannot blame him.
The english educatin system no longer sees the need for english to be taught to the levels it used to be. They say that there are now too many foreign dialecs etc. to control.

Note that in australia the goverment is already talking about dropping the standard of english education.

We generally run about 20 years behind Englnd.
So once again we have the benifit of 20/20 hindsight.
Of course Mr. Rudd will do nothing.

Consider Beenleigh - rapid development, planned expansion, and designated future key city center, half between Brisbane and Gold Coast, SE freeway through the town, lying between Logan and Eagleby rivers, low cost of living, new colleges nearby, hospital within easy reach, huge potential to grow your family and wealth.

Yeah, good choice. Beenleigh is full of bogans attracted by low cost of living, is close to the crime capital of the world, unlimited parking space on the motorway, and the colleges are home to countless knife weilding thugs in training to join the Queensland Police Service. The positive side (at least for some) is the predominance of unmarried mothers in Eagleby.

Just to be pedantic, is Beenleigh in Logan City these days ?? Its been in just about every local authority in SEQ at some time or other, so many in fact that I doubt most have been able to keep up with the changes. Certainly being in Logan Shire is a very bad thing, but the next most likely alternative is Gold Coast & thats not much better. Depends what sort of neighbours you prefer I guess. Either redneck bogans doing burnouts constantly (Logan) or gun toting drug dealing road rafing crims blasting everyone else out of the way (Gold Coast).

I'll be back: I don't know, but I know I wouldn't live in any of those places!!!
We broke down in Marsden once, I walked to the petrol station, my mate sat in the car so no one would take the wheels!

Exactly, although you were probably slightly safer in Logan than in Gold Coast. Bogans are less likely to carry firearms & being the brainless cowards they are, you are really only at risk if you encounter a tribe of troublemakers. Gold Coast dwellers are a bit more sophisticated, typically having an a rsenal of offensive weapons up to machine guns and they are not in the least perturbed about using offensive weapons on anyone or anything that gets in their way.

I once had occasion to deliver about $13,000 worth Chrisco stuff to unmarried single mother at address in Kingston. Housing Commission property about 3 years old but the weeds hadn't been attended to in that time & were about 1.5m high. Tribe of yard apes roaming in the jungle looked like refugees from Mad Max & probably capable of taking an adult's leg off in one bite. Wheelie bins had never been used, any food scraps / wrappings etc were simply hoyed over the verandah. Must be good money in supporting mother allowance however. The occupant obviously thought 'work' & 'job' were obscenities but could still afford to squander thousands of dollars on useless cra p

IBB: oh, i just worked it out, that chick you delivered Chrisco to must have spent like $200 per week!
If she put that in a s/a imagine how much more value it would have been with the cash.

The socio-economic status of the typical Chrisco customer is inversely proportional to the amount they spend.

Cherbourg to be pedantic

Like I intimated earlier, its probably quite nice if you have an exceptionally dark tan. Murgon residents are mostly of anglo-saxon ancestry but Cherbourg is reserved for the brudders & sista's. There would be worse places to live than Murgon if you don't mind smallish country towns but its not high on my list.

Re:Best Places to live in Queensland??? Reply to this message
Unfortunately anyplace not overrun with mexicans is almost certainly overrun by something even worse, like descendants of Ishmael. Cairns, as with the Gold Coast and anywhere else the sheeple 'perceive' to be attractive, is a magnet to would_be_if_they_could_be 's, so called 'gays, druggies and other dregs of society. I spent a few years there & was glad to see the road south. Personally I prefer cool to cold weather rather than unbelievably humid sauna like conditions with mould spreading so fast you can actually see it growing, so those issues definitely jaded my opinion of the far north. My ideal retirement location is more like the Tasmanian central highlands. Major attractions are absence of mexicans / islamics, scarcity of so called 'developers', predominance of effectively undevelopable country & no steam bath weather.
