People never think about that side of the equation peterg015, Those who can make a career out of the force are generally pretty good family people doing a tough job.

Called the police to try and find my Grandson who is not happy at home due to a selfish b i t c h of a mother .They knew where he was but wouldent give me his address . Annoyed at thea , not happy with the police
------------------------- ------------------------- ---
Tell me, how old is your grandson and is his selfish mother your ex daughter in law by any chance? It's called the privacy act and Police can't show favouritism towards some and not others in relation to that kind of information. Depending on your grandson's age always remember, there are two sides to every story and we will always tell our side in a more shining light.

My cousins 13 year old is still affected by her encounter with Queensland police. Now her 15 year old sister has been half throttled by her psychotic 70 year old grandmother!! Two beautifull kids thier lives almost ruined by adults. I cry for them but i find i quiet place to do it. Being male and being sensitive to the stupid macho ideal we have in this country of course i dont wish to be seen!!

Their nan is now in a facility receiving treatmant.

was this grandmother ever a user of marijuana???

this is very common for people of this age to loose the plot after heavy use of a drug, at any stage of there life.

I've seen it a few in medical journals...

I knew a woman whose husband was a cop. At the police station he was at, bullying and harrassment was rife, with most of the cops crooked, and those who weren't were treated terribly. He was able to get a transfer, and found a different experience at a new station.

Obviously some cops are hardworking people trying to do a good job, but there is evidence that at least some are not. It wasn't that long ago that the female cop who stole the money turned in was all over the news. Just because you know one good cop doesn't make them all good, and the same for the other way around.

My teenage brother (then) went to a school social once and was strip searched by a police officer simply because a drunk girl who was mad at him falsely accused him of having drugs. They found no drugs of course, but he was traumatised as a result. Mum and Dad were angry as, they let their son go to a supervised event and that happened to him!

Police do have a lot of power, and they are able to abuse that. Some do, some don't.

qld police are corrupt uncaring thugs.

9 weeks to arrest and question a paedophile.

drinking with paedos , laughing and joking with them . discussing case details.

taking a full year to catch a mugger when constantly told of his home address. even when the bloke was already in jail on other charges.

i would not pi55 on one if they were on fire.

Last time I checked, I wasn't corrupt and not a thug but don't worry, if I ever come across you and you are on fire, I will save my urine for someone who appreciates what those of us who are not corrupt do in the community. What a fool you are to label everyone in the same boat!

stealth, don't worry about dad's rants. He tried to join the police force years ago but was TOOOOOOO SHORT. He was then found with cannabis seeds in his car and ended up with a criminal history which has hampered his employment options. He is a little man with a big chip on his shoulders.

You have to have been involved in this case to see the seriousness of it nessa.

The woman was taking 8 differant drugs and abusing most of them. 30 more seconds and the kid could have died or so i was told!

I was arrested in the 80's at the gabba for walking down the wrong side of the stairs. I had $42.50 in my pocket. When I was bought befor the charge Sergeant the was a cardbourd sign behind him that said Resisting arrest $20 and Hindering Police $20. If I payed this sum I was free to go with no record of the arrest. I was never charged with anything.

Well A, for a starters it was a pathetic excuse for an arrest (qld cops, Rodney Rude wrote a GREAT song about them)

And B, seems bribery DOES work! lol

Re:Your experience with Queensland Polic ... Reply to this message
I am still trying to work out this one..The guy who found the tazer on the side of the road in Brisbane that had been lost by a senior police officer did the right thing and handed it in.

He thought it was a childs toy and then heard the story on the news the next morning and handed it in..and yet the police are now considering dropping the charges..FOR WHAT.?..being honest and doing the right thing.?..and all i can say is the police are darn lucky some thug or a bunch of kids didn't find it..imagine what they could have done with it.?

All i can say is bloody pathetic..i guess crime really does pay..the dishonest ones get a slap on the hand while the good ones cop it..!!

i was found 80 dollars for having a beer at a taxi rank, rather than pay i bought a digital camera, went around the area taking lots off pics at parks then rang cops ,and waited and waited then kept calling every 5 mins, they dropped it tore it up,crime would be less if they erent revenue collecters,as it turns out fine was to be paid to council, who pays there wages rates or taxation.

Re:Your experience with Queensland Polic ... Reply to this message
This really pi55es me off. Poeple who don't appreciate the job that the Police do. I'm not denying that some are corrupt, but most of them do their job honestly. They go out there everyday, put their lives on the line to keep the community safe. They get spat on, called names, abused, bashed, you name it, it happens every shift.

My father is a Police officer and has been for the past 22 years. He's had his life threatened a few times (that I know of), a spear held at his chest and his car nearly getting flipped off a bridge by some d i c k head who thought it would be fun to take the Police on a chase. These people are out there everyday trying to make it a safer place to live in. Some have lost their lives over it, what about some respect for them?

And to the i d i o t s who complain about getting a speeding/traffic tickets, saying that the Police should be out there catching the real criminals. They are. They are stopping you from a potential accident where you could kill someone innocent. You wouldn't get one if you weren't breaking the law in the first place. There a road rules for a reason. How about obeying them for a change?

And if you think they do such a bad job, why don't you go out and do it for a day. See if you like it. I bet you wouldn't last five minutes.

Being 3 kms over the speed limit doesn't mean you should classed (in your words) as a criminal.

That same 3 kms over the speed of 100kph does not significantly increase the probablity of a fatal accident.

And yet the police will expend significant time and energy to trap people who are slightly over the speed limit.

I ask myself why and the answer is obvious, money and how to get it into the government coffers.

Traffic cops are nothing more that tax collectors with guns and 'spray'.

They should spend all their time catching crims and when they have successfully done that, then they can set up speed traps to collect money for the labor government.
