"Woodridge was a bad joke for years so the typical political band-aid response was to change the name to Logan City, which was supposed to improve the dump overnight. Anyone who believes Australia is classless has obviously never been to Logan City"
Woot! My favourite sport, kicking around our states' embarassment - Logan (city LOL) |

"I'll be back: I don't know, but I know I wouldn't live in any of those places!!!
We broke down in Marsden once, I walked to the petrol station, my mate sat in the car so no one would take the wheels!" -jellybeenz
just found the last time we talked about logan :)
Ok, say you had NO choice and you had to pick a suburb from logan (City LOL) to live in, which would it be? Oh and keep in mind you need to hand your 'form' in once a fortnight. |

If you encountered the right / wrong feral bogan, they would happily take the wheels anyway

Hi everyone,
Myself and my partner are hoping to move to Oz late 2010 and would love to know some information first. Firstly i am a lab techincian working in a pharmaceutical company with a degree in chemistry and my partner has a degree in Information Technology. We would love to live close enough to the beach. Max an hours drive away but would really love to live in a country area that is safe and not too expensive and also with some land. Maybe an acre or 2. Can anyone suggest areas that we could live that would suit us. We want the country life with the great weather and hopefully a nice house with a pool. Thanks a mill for your help in advance. Cheers |

| I was seriously considering Tamborine Mountain until the Blighters decided to allow the Salvos to build a druggie centre there. Tamborine Village & Jimboomba are effectively the same, dry barren country, mostly small acreage with at least twice as many horses as people, none of whom have any concept about the cost of country living, which explains why the area holds the record for defaulting on bills. Tallebudgera is Gold Coast AKA Crime Central |

| Pre Expo88, Brisbane was one of the best places in Australia to live. Population was about half what it is now & the city was virtually unknown overseas & thought by mexicans (south of the border folk) to be a quaint but place in the deep north. A previous premier Joh Peanut dreamed up the Expo in order to divert attention from his governments corruption & the sheeple swallowed it hook, line and sinker. Since then, Brisbane has been 'on the map' & consequently going backward at the speed of light. The unholy trinity of GoAnna the Blight, CanDo Campbell & the K r u d d have heaps of so called 'developer' mates (actually 'attilas' after the fifth century bararian) & are pushing the idea of doubling the population within a few years, despite the fact that essential infrastructure is waaaayyy past its use-by date and there are no workable plans to upgrade (not that we can afford upgrades anyway) The sheeple are far too stupid to comprehend the relationship between population growth & cost of living, so any halfway sentient Brisbaneites are looking for somewhere else to move. |

Half the population of the world has een looking for exactly the same for the past twenty years, basically you've missed the boat. I'm off to Tasmania in 2010 because I've had a gutful of attilas, the unholy trinity, crowds, congestion, multinationals and the stinking hot sweaty Queensland summer |

actually; all you wrote there could be said about WA-pre and post boom.
Only about 5 years ago-we were said to be the cheapest state in Aus to live-house prices lower than anywhere else and a laid back lifestyle-then the boom happened-houses are now dearest in Aus and population has outstripped ammenties and infrastructure and destroyng natural environment like a disease.
And to top it all-those who come here want to change it to what they want ;instead of accepting the way those who are here want it.
Thank goodness we live away from it all-dread the rare trips to the city! |

I've never been to the west but planning on having a look around in winter 2010, not a place I'd consider living however as its almost certainly too hot for my taste. Shame though that livable places are being stuffed up by attilas intent on a quick buck with rarely a bleat of protest from the sheeple. |

Currently I live in Brisbane, but probably not for much longer for the reasons I've previously stated. Those from London, New York or LA would probably still think Brisbane is OK, but anyone who has been here for over twenty years would have to admit its not the place it used to be pre Expo88. I've also lived in Cairns which is OK if you like rednecks & unbelievable humidity 24 x 7 all year round, and Hawaii (the big island) which is fine (lot cooler than Brisbane) apart from the unspeakably dreadful yankee dialect (yukkkkkkkk !!!) Thankfully its a considerably toned down version of what the mainlanders speak. Oahu isn't a place I like much even though its less populated & 'developed' than Brisbane, its still too commercial for me. I've always enjoyed cool to cold weather instead of Queensland summer which only suits those into sweating, particularly near the coast. The bush gets hotter still but its more bearable with ower humidity. YMMV of course |

For sure, humans are pretty stupid creatures. One would think that by escaping a place that no longer suits them, they would be happy to accept their new location as it is without bringing the old issues with them, mind you the islamics do exactly the same thing. |

One of my best mates is an ex bog-trotter & he would never return to the green because of the way its been over-populated by the same attila mentality that is destroying most of mainland Australia. |

| For the benefit of the meatheads who infest this place, I'll add that my requirements are probably (hopefully anyway) different to most others. I prefer the environment in its natural state rather than as some attila & his political / business associates think it should be. As far as I'm concerned, the Almighty intended earth to be clean and green instead of the present dirty barren congested over-populated hell-hole infested with lowlife islamics & the like. I don't give a rats whay others think, they are entitled to whatever views and lifestyle that suits them, providing they don't expect me to agree with their choices. |
