| Could someone tell me if there are many sandflies in Hemmant? Also, can you smell the treatment plant if you were to live in wynnum or Hemmant up near Port Drive. |

Hemmant: Can be prone to sandflies, particularly in the streets that are close to the creek.
All through this area into wynnum you can smell a 'sulphuric' smell from time to time...
When we lived there 15 yrs ago, there was a 'survey' given to all householders to document when/where the pollution was the worst... I don't know where that survey ended up but not where it should have.
Ask people in the street where you are looking at re: sandflies... good luck.
ps The pub there is cool, if you like a rowdy all-out friday drink ;) |
