Below is a link to the petition to stop the increase of Car Rego in QLD by another $250 extra a year! This only takes a minute to do.
Please forward this onto every Queenslander you know. If this legislation goes ahead, we will pay in excess of $800 a year for rego - When Victorians pay less than $200 all up!
Thanks

It's a bit late for any petition....
The 20% rise on the registration component (not "all up") went through on the 1st of July.
For it to be a $250 rise then the registration cost (not including CTP) would have to be $1250.
As it was, it went up about $40. Not $250.
All up rego costs in Vic are around $600 for your average car - pretty much the same as here in Qld. |

This is a notice I recieved from VINJAP, and I just passed it on. I`ve no idea what Victorian bike rego cost is & don`t really care.
If it`s too late for a petition, why is this one on foot? & why are so many people signing it? |

| Even $10 for registration in Queensland is a blatant rip-off for the pitiful excuses for roads in the deep north. When its all said and done, we don't even have goats our roads anymore because Goats United Union banned members from travelling on Queensland road on account of the risks to members. |

The petition was put there as a protest and with the aim that the 20% rise that was to happen a few days after the petition was created would be reversed.
The whole $250 rise/$200 vic rego nonsense started as part of a chain email that did the rounds last June.
It would seem that parts of it (myth) have been joined by the existence of the petition against the 20% rego component rise (fact - although the rise has already gone through) and are again doing the rounds as yet another chain email (based on the number of posts with the same wording as yours that are on various forums). |

I suppose the reference to Vic should have alerted me, but to be honest, I really didn`t take any notice of it.
Admittedly, I took notice because of the Bligh Govt`s desperation, and the petition. |

Has anyone thought about the probable state of Queensland (and indeed Australia) in the next 5 to 10 years ?? Most baby-boomers are expected to retire in that period & thus the proportion of workers to welfare recipients will alter markedly, however government income from all sources will almost certainly not increase. Substantially higher taxes, charges & other impositions are inevitable, but at what stage do those finally upset the sheeple to the extent where they revolt ?? I'm certain we will experience a revolt, its simply a matter of when. |

Petitions and demonstrating would be a thing of the past if government did what their sole purpose of being was, make laws for the people, with the clear implication that those laws will reflect the WILL of the people.
Our governments do not do this!
the government works for US not the otherway around. DONT forget that. |

News to me. I can't recall the last time ANY politician did something to my benefit. They all have their snouts so deep in the feeding trough that they couldn't possibly be aware of anything else, even if they did care (which they obviously don't) |

"News to me. I can't recall the last time ANY politician did something to my benefit"
They arent supposed to be doing anything for their own beliefs, they dont count.
The only thing that counts is and ALWAYS will be is the people who employ them.
They are servants of the Australian people.
There is a few reasons why they get away with this
A) - Political parties. They need to GO and fast.
B) - Voter complacency. Too damn busy or lazy to think for themselves and always leave it up to the policians to decide.
Peoples lack of obligation to demand their way is the reason why this so called democracy is bleeding dry. I know that sounds dramatic but its true.
Look at the asset sales, tax payer owned assets sold off by someone else under their feet.
Each time an election comes around, this is basically job interview the only problem is people do not ask or even demand the right answers from these people.
Politicians are the Second LOWEST form of human and should be treated as such
This country belongs to the people and not the government, we are in control and its about F%%(%ING we excersised that control. |

Would you hire a person into your own business that would lie to your face and treat you with such utter contempt ???
Would you let them get away with it ??
I would hope not. |

Tough decisions? -
Like the hike in mining royalties?
The sale of income producing assets?
Or any of the numerous desperate cash grabs implemented or proposed by this Govt in their bid to raise funds to try to offset their own missmanagement? |

| Whilst I have no time at all for the Blight, she's really just a dimwit who inherited the mess made by the Beetle. Mind you she's certainly done her utmost to stuff things further. Nevertheless I'm certain that the Blight is simply a puppet of whoever is really pulling the strings, be that Obama or the world monetary tribe or something else again. Nobody in the whole Blighted government is smart enough to mavigate their way out of bed without a tribe of assistants & the LNP tribe aren't a lot better. At least I'm retiring before long so every other poor mug can worry about the mess. |

Better get used to increased government charges because there will be a LOT more coming. Most baby boomers will be retiring over the next five years so the ratio of workers to those on handouts will sqew dramatically. Without the so called 'mining boom', Blight & Company will need to rack up ALL charges just to stay afloat, and that will only last until the few sheeple still working in 5 years time decide to revolt. |

| For those sceptics advising that the real cost is around $600 a year, please explain to me how my total bill has gone in one year from $650 to $808 for an average 6 cylinder vehicle. I dont care about the split between rego and third party, its all out of my pocket. |
