| By the look of the lack of response you have here jeni, I don't think there are many people here from Maryborough. Have you tried Yahoo Answers?, under the travel section, then click on Australia. Post this question there, you might have better luck. |

oh but i forgot to mention, Maryborough has the World's Greatest Pub Crawl - and goddamn it was an awesome experience this year!!!
given not one person posted on my pub crawl thread shows how computer literate people in Maryborough are... not sure they have even heard of the internet... lmao |

| No need to condemn the whole town just because they didn`t go for your thread Frenchy. Even if the head count and leg count of Maryborough are eerily similar. |

LMAO Aussie! i did think that there would have been SOMEONE else on the boards that went to the pub crawl, given there were thousands of people there and it was a guiness event you know?
anyway, i shouldn't be mean to maryborough, it was a top day out and i'll be back there again next year! |

I was in Maryborough a week ago.
Geez, how dead is that place? It's like it died years ago and nobody has bothered to bury it. It makes Bundaburg seem vibrant.
But.... the yard with the crashed Tilt Train sitting in it and that huge abandoned and decaying factory thingy near the river about 500m from the town centre are pretty damn cool. |

The greater Wide Bay and Burnett region has the highest unemployment rate in Australia, and has had for decades.
Most of the population are on some type of government benefit, except for self funded retirees. |
