As people may have noticed that the Queensland motorways limited will be in control of the road from Nudgie to the mt gravatt capalaba road turn off.
Ive asked them and received no answer about will we be eventually charged for travelling on this road and not crossing the gateway bridge.
Does anyone know if this is true ?? |

I wouldn't be at all surprised if they do. Especially since Captain Bligh is selling off some of our public roads.
How long before we start to see toll bridges above the Bruce, Cunningham, Warrego, Pacific Highways and all other major roads? |

As far as I know, they've just taken over the maintenance gig for that section of roadway.
In Sydney, heaps of the roadways are now maintained by private service companies as it's cheaper for them to be payed to do it rather than the state government providing their own resources. |

It seems rather difficult to get info out of them
I want to know if i can use the old gateway after the new road is put in because ill be stuffed if im going to pay more than $2.90 that i already pay to cross the bridge each way on top of an 8-9c perlitre (on top of the increases from the fuel companies before the removal of the subsidy we dont really get anyway) |

| Here In Queensland we have decided to ignore any questions about our government and have sneakily deflected such questions in deciding to change the name "Etoll" to "Go-via" This will continue our magnificent record in wasting taxpayers money and dumbing them down sufficiently enough to vote for us at the next election. Its always worked in the past . We got what we deserved. |

The idea of "Free flow" and the gateway in the same sentence is a joke... 99% of the time I go other ways because of the chronic congestion... (I live inner NE suburbs, so if it worked it would be quite convenient for me..).
Yesterday (Sunday) around lunchtime I spent 40 minutes parked on the gateway.. I was stuck in the toll booth for so long the attendant took me through the entire "Go-via" brochure... If I didn't have a rule about not shooting messengers, I would have suggested that someone should pay me for the time and petrol I was wasting sitting around on their gridlocked bridge...
I really wished I'd taken the freeway.... |
