Don't you get the feeling that the health authorities are not doing everything they can to contain this threat.

How are they meant to contain it? A person will get the early symptoms of the flu and spread it before they even know they have it.
Their are always outbreaks of bad flu, I don't believe this is any more dangerous than any other virus that goes around. |

| I agree nessa, as here is the Qld health officials putting people who went to the footy match in Melbourne into quarrantine and why?, when you have got Victorians coming up here with their swine germs to holiday here. The whole thing is a joke. |

"Don't you get the feeling that the health authorities are not doing everything they can to contain this threat."
Don't you feel that there's been enough hysteria over swine flu, already?
Why don't people take some responsibility for their own health?
Wash your hands frequently. Avoid crowds. If you get flu symptoms, cover your face when you cough or sneeze and stay away from other people so you don't give it to them. |

| The whole Swine flu thing is a joke. Noone has died in Australia from this outbreak however people regularly die from complications from normal ol influenza which has been around for donkeys. The media has a lot to answer for. |

I agree with all of your comments ...
the media has blown it out of proportion and people do need to take their own precautions in health care.
including stuff like entertainment events...
noone has been reported to be infected ..
i wonder what they will call the next flu........ oh no it's the fish flu.
the media needs to shut the hell up.
bird flu was just the same. very few australians contracted it.
even less people died world wide from bird flu. |
