| Bowen has the winter fruit season, tomatoes etc. then mangoes later in the year, so the seasonal workers take up some space but apart from that there's little activity |

I wouldn't let that put you off, it is no different there to any other North QLD beachside town, I think the stinger season is from November to April but I can't be sure about that. They do have a stinger net at Queens Beach and by the end of the year there will be a lagoon to swim in at the Front Beach. |
