Have any of you been having trouble with your Energy Accounts.

Our Meter was read on the 13th March and still no Account has been received. Becoming concerned I rang our new supplier, only to be told they haven't received the data from "Energex" as yet. So I asked the question Why??? only to be told they had contacted Energex and were still waiting, and had no answer as to why the data had not been forwarded to them....So much for free enterprise.

At this rate by the time we receive an account, the next one will be due......I let my feelings be known that this was not good enough, pretty much to no avail:(((

Being on the pension, having double billing is of a great concern to us. So I am curious to know if you are in the same boat??

I haven't heard about it. A woman I know pays an amount to Ergon each week (through the post office) so when the bill comes she only has a small amount left to pay or a credit if she is lucky. Might be a good way to avoid this happening again if Energex offers that kind of thing.

Yes I know of those arrangements Nessa, thank you. I am not concerned about paying the account, I am concerned about the lenght of time it has taken for the account to come, which as yet has not arrived.

You have this concern that if your bill is not paid your power could be cut off. There could be people out there who are older than us, worrying over the same thing. A lot of elderly peoople are unable to follow up on problems such as this, through lack of confidence....especially in this day and age, electronic customer service confuses the hell out of some people and they give up.

All I can say is despite what Boofhead Beattie promised, deregulation has increased my bill by about 15%.

Like all good citizens, I am using less power and paying more for it.

I'm assuming you've got the money for the bill that hasn't arrived? So, just hang onto it until the next bill is due.

No dramas.

I have yet to see anything go down with privatisation, it just means that the Gov can lay off staff and cut costs. Same thing with self regulation, they just pass the buck on to someone else.

We pay the Ambo levy twice, once at home and then at our business.

I really wasn't trying to make this a Drama, I was just curious to see if anyone else has had this problem.

We will have no trouble 'hanging onto the money', however there are people out there who may not be able to do so. :))

Haven't received my power bill for the period ending March yet. I rang Origin and was told the same thing - that my meter had been read and the data had not been sent from Energex to Origin. Still waiting.
