| Being in the first bunch of kids to go to Taminmin (1983) i can truly say most of us coundnt say it(taminmin) properly for years and when we did learn it.It was too late.It s'pose to mean a meeting place but even now it still feels more like it was a jail. |

Constant dimwit accusations tossed out of others being racist.
Clear demonstrations either just how racist speakers are, or just how ignorant in their failure to understand what term means.
Racism is the qualification of rights and or responsibilities on the basis of race.
To simplify it, as some clearly need simplification, racism is qualification of rights and or responsibilities of another based upon who their grandparents, or further back may have been, rather than who they are.
Clearly demonstrating their own rejection of principal of equality of opportunity.
Now before some start throwing abuse about past losses let us clarify, past losses should be corrected. However we should not be linking the damage done to someone in the past as result of possibly racist actions with an ongoing requirement to continue such racist actions.
Sadly much policy is based around such approach.
Actual resolution of underlaying, long term problems take a lot longer, when conditional is when authorities require we allow same objectionable behaviour to continue.
To simplify this, they tell rape victims they must accept ongoing rape to get compensation for an earlier rape. |

Qualification of rights and or responsibilities by race occurs where racial identification used as justification to change what rights or responsibilities a person has or is denied,
Whether exists - real or imagined, the difference commonly referred to as race is another topic.
Socially is common to find behavior using deemed racial identification as excuse, as justification given, for changing by denial or granting to people their rights.
Still current are examples including qualification of the right to manage money as received from Centrelink, qualification of right to purchase and consume alchohol, or, whether exist rights for people to visit friends or relations, denial of right to stay in a motel...
...and Lord most of all please protect us from all those kind hearted people working for government who are coming to help us...

The worst thing about racism in the NT and parts of SA and WA is the racism has become so ingrained, so common, it is seen as normal.
Majority of those involved in implementing racial policy are most unlikely to ever take the few minutes to test the logic of their proclamations.
Read excuses, then reread changing targetted racial groups, reverse them, substitute with others, the excuses soon do not look so attractive.
Those find this no problem are same ones who support Star of David being sewn onto clothing, people being sent to camps, then placed into gas ovens... |

| On another thread someone asked me about racism in the NT. I replied that in my 40 years here it is only fairly recently that racism appears to be an issue. I said that in the past we all got on pretty well, black white and brindle, however, recently, alcoholic Aboriginal itinerants are causing a lot of trouble and are turning people against Aboriginal people as a whole. Probably more so in Alice, Katherine, Tennant etc than up here in Darwin. Unfortunately though, most rapes and assaults on white women up here are by young black men. It doesn't help peoples views. |

The word indigenous is applied to anyone born in Australia and have both parents having been born in this country.
There is blatant discrimination here with the BLACK indigenous person receiving benefits, privileges (provided by the WHITE taxpayer)denied to white Australians.
The black face wins out EVERY time to the detriment of a white Australian.
D.N.A. testing MUST be implemented immediately to get rid of all the 'so-called' aborigines. Most of them are as WHITE as you and I. Everyone is jumping on the gravy train now to receive EVERYTHING for free while the rest of us work seven days a week to throw billions of dollars at this 1.4% of the Australian population for them to grog on, sniff chemicals, dope and waste.
Wake up Australia, before this group bankrupt this country with their greed, avarice and exploitation.

Racial Purity ?
Hearing such as this is from someone who is either stupid (is shooting with mouth before their brain is in gear) OR is a racist.
We can all be stupid on occasion, just hope they learn quickly.
Those of racist tendencies seem hard wire their mind patterns, so find it a lot harder to learn.
Debating term "indigenous" beyond where were you born is usually an argument in favor of racism, just which flavor being debated...
