Your life Ropes has been totally affected by your choice of friends.

Sadly you have chosen poorly, right back since you joined that religious cult.

I would never live in a remote community, I would never lower my standards to that level. Unfortunately I have children who do, and I cannot prevent this, however the time they spend with me I hope will educate them to wanting a better life.

You copped out of life many years ago Ropes, and now you are trying to make the best of it that you can. You made a poor choice, yet could have made a positive impression, but you didn't.
You really are a disgusting human being, and a bloody liar to boot.
I'm not finished with you yet son.

Just stating facts Ropes, you are a disgusting human being, and a bloody liar to boot.

That is neither the best nor the worst I have, just a fact.

And again Ropes throws in that he has some

"dirty little secrets"

on me. Well sonny, for over a year you have been asked by myself, and others, to publish them here and you have backed away each and every time.

You're just a joke son, and a poor quality one at that.

Fatal – single vehicle rollover – 4378624

A 41-year-old woman from the Utopia community has died following a single vehicle rollover which occurred 20km North of the Plenty highway at 4.30 pm on Friday afternoon.

Police at Harts Range received a report of the accident at 6 am on Saturday morning. At this stage it appears the 44 year old male driver has swerved to avoid wildlife causing the Holden commodore to roll once landing on its roof.

The driver and the two other male passengers aged 46 and 39 were taken to the Alcoota Health clinic by the Alcoota ambulance and later flown by Flying Doctor to Alice Springs.

Crash investigators from southern traffic operations are travelling to the scene and will examine if speed or alcohol were contributing factors and if seatbelts were worn.

Fatality - Ramingining - update

A 27-year-old man was killed this morning after the vehicle he was a passenger in, a white Mitsubishi Pajero, left the road and then struck a tree about 1.5 kilometres from the Ramingining Community turn-off.

email means eltronic mail, not evil mail as some individual(s) on these boards seem to think.

the type of person who threatens by phone, writes defamatory letters or emails is well below the standard of decent humanity, the type of person who will stoop the lowest for self gratification.

Do you mean like someone who posts what they believe is someones address here. The type of person who suggests that his family and friends will bash you on sight, etc.

That seems to be the type of person you are referring to Ropes.

Appears you are that kind of person. Do you like yourself?

Fatality - Nhulunbuy - 4385397 - update

Police confirm that a 24-year-old man died in a single vehicle rollover that occurred this morning on Melville Bay Road near Wallaby Beach at Nhulunbuy.

A 30-year-old woman who was also in the vehicle at the time was treated at the scene by St John Ambulance before being conveyed to Gove District Hospital and later flown to Royal Darwin Hospital for further treatment.

It is believed the couple were travelling in a Toyota Landcruiser utility outbound on Melville Bay Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle approximately 100 metres west of the Yirrkala Business Enterprise, and rolled resulting in both occupants being thrown clear of the vehicle.

Major Crash investigators and local police are still at the scene of the crash and it is still to be determined who was driving at the time. Neither of the occupants wore seatbelts and investigations are continuing as to whether speed or alcohol were a contributing factor.

The Territory road toll stands at 26 compared to 63 for the same period last year.

Re:NT Road Death toll 2009 Reply to this message
Perhaps those accidents near remote communities could be due to poorly maintained roads or defective vehicles or drivers who aren't highly skilled or not fit to drive? These are very sad situations. Everyone really needs to take greater care on the roads. I've mentioned in posts elsewhere that driving is a privilege and not a right. An increased police presence on the roads would certainly help but of course, that is not really an option for remote roads. I guess it is a matter of better training and an improvement in the attitudes of drivers, especially in remote areas. Just because someone is driving in a remote area and is not likely to be scrutinised by the police, it doesn't mean they are going to get away with driving recklessly.

We ALL need to take more care on the roads, especially in the remote areas.

"do you live in a remote area?"

No. Have done. What has that got to with it?

Living in a remote area does not exempt anyone from road rules or the consequences of not driving safely.

I'm sure some people think being on "open" roads means that they can do what they like. It seems a lot of drivers think if there aren't any coppers around then they can get away with driving recklessly. Not so. We ALL need to drive more carefully; not just in remote areas but in the towns as well.

did you miss my point, or didn't understand my post?

130kph on any road is dangerous, regardless of driver experience or condition of roads in cities or rural areas.
response time at that speed is measured in seconds, or parts thereof. so to make my point clear, the speed limit on territory roads should be lowered to ensure the safety of all.

do the maths, two vehicles travelling towards each other can result in an impact speed of 260kph.

ever travelled on territory roads when roadtrains are passing you only a couple of metres to your right?

Don't ever get into a plane Ropes, some travel even faster than 260.

Faster is better up there because the less time in the air means the less time for accidents.

Sorry to hear about your phobia about passing roadtrains. I used to drive them once, did I mention?

Is Racism a Mental Illness?
Yes
It can be a delusional symptom of psychotic disorders
Alvin F Poussaint, Professor of psychiatry

To continue perceiving extreme racism as normative and not pathologic is to lend it legitimacy. Clearly, anyone who scapegoats a whole group of people and seeks to eliminate them to resolve his or her internal conflicts meets criteria for a delusional disorder, a major psychiatric illness.

------------------------- ------------------------- -----

Racism is caused by fear

In some cases racism can generate such an enormous amount of anger that it can cause a war. The thing that causes this anger is mainly fear. Fear that the stranger will take your house, your job, your wife. You don’t know who this stranger is, and he doesn’t know you. To fight racism we have to get to know each other and learn more about each other’s cultures. We have got to share each other’s joys, but also learn that we often have the same problems and worries.

At any speed, impacts are dangerous. Lowering the speed limit only makes things safer IF drivers OBEY the rules. To make it absolutely safe, you would need to lower the limit to ZERO. Obviously, we can't do that. The compromise is to obey the set limits and rules. If anyone finds that too onerous, bugger off, get off the road!!!

I'd bet most accidents happen because someone involved didn't obey ALL the rules.

It is easy to pass by other vehicles on either the right or the left. Take care, consider the other driver and obey the rules.

It is not hard.

Fatal - Pedestrian – Jingili - 4395233

The Territory road toll now stands at 27, compared to 65 for the same period last year, after a fatal crash last night.

It is alleged that a 30-year-old male was walking across the outbound lanes of McMillans Road outside the Airport Hotel when he was struck by a white Ford Falcon Utility.

It is believed that the driver continued on and parked his car near the Gateway Motel, later returning to the scene on foot before leaving the area.

Police and St John Ambulance members attended the scene, conveying the male to Royal Darwin Hospital where he was declared deceased after a short time.

A crime scene was established and lanes along McMillans Road were blocked for some time as members worked at the location.

Investigations are continuing to locate the driver of the vehicle who was described as being a Caucasian male, in his early 50’s, solid build and at the time of the offence was wearing an orange and blue work shirt and had plaster or bandages on his left arm and left leg.

Police urge anyone that may recognise this male, or who may have information in relation to this incident, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

the ebb and flow scenario... will the tide come in in 2010 or perhaps a "king" tide will venture here..
has the road toll come down as a direct result of anything the police have put in place like staying off the roads, being not seen in the traffic, being invisible as the new revolution takes on and secures revenue whilst they sip lattes with the ever growing useless female core in the ranks...
or are they really women anymore?
