Is Racism a Mental Illness?
Yes
It can be a delusional symptom of psychotic disorders
Alvin F Poussaint, Professor of psychiatry

To continue perceiving extreme racism as normative and not pathologic is to lend it legitimacy. Clearly, anyone who scapegoats a whole group of people and seeks to eliminate them to resolve his or her internal conflicts meets criteria for a delusional disorder, a major psychiatric illness.

Oh oh, I've scared Ropes back into his little hole again.

And I bet he had something really important to say too.

Well maybe not.

Re:The Real Evolution Theory Reply to this message
It is absolutely amazing that on the planet today there is every form of human organisation and living arrangements!

Given that human survival is reliant on 'Survival of the Adapted'....as a species ALL variations should be recognised, appreciated AND allowed to exist side by side?

Humans respond to their environment and societies may well have to return to the nomadic lifestyle of EVERYONE's past, rather than the agricultural one of the NOW...??

To have both forms present on earth IS possible and even absolutely necessary to humanity as a whole...

Re:The Real Evolution Theory Reply to this message
Amuses me - in the cynical disgusted sense, how the Central Land Council remains in court arguing that trade is NOT a traditional activity, not an activity carried out by "Traditional Owners", and NOT to be recognized as an activity for the purposes of the ALR(NT).

Obviously all those pearl shells, artifacts, and other items, not to mention the occasional coastal/from far away "promised wife" ;-) to be found around homeland communities just appear magically from their far, far, far away orgins.

Trading of things is one of the few cultural aspects which actually define the humanity of people all around the world.

Re:The Real Evolution Theory Reply to this message
Is more important to consider the two forms of Racism.

Racism by the individual, or the individual in a mob mentality situation.

Racism by legislation, partly the result of racism by individuals in mob mentality and power exploitation circumstances.

If we study history carefully, we can see the danger has rarely been the racism of the individual.

Rather far more dangerous has been where racism is from the State, such legislated racism created slavery, Nazi death camps, indeed great massacres upon all continents, created the "stolen generation" and the failure to thrive in communities by labeling them "Aboriginal" then undertook the application of assorted "Special Benefits".

Racism is the illness, government its tool.

Re:The Real Evolution Theory Reply to this message
Mmmmm. Seems one is not allowed to mention that the wrongly called 'stolen generation', who incidentally were 1/2 or mostly white anyway, did far better for themselves than those not taken.

These are facts.

Re:The Real Evolution Theory Reply to this message
One could batter Ropes around the head with facts for days at a time, and it would do no good.

He just cannot understand how ridiculous his statements on this subject are.

No doubt he tells all and sundry in the Ab community where he works this nonsense, and, to the many illiterate people there, he may be seen as a worldly intellectual consumed with knowledge.

Unfortunately, he is just a fool, taking advantage of those with no idea of the real facts.
He calls himself a 'Legend' in his community. Here he is a real legend, one who has rose to prominence by uttering nonsense and stupidity on a grand scale.

Joking, want to explain yourself?

And why you made that comment. People who start new ID's to post the same day are always suspect.

Re:The Real Evolution Theory Reply to this message
Reminds me of when Ropes started his silly gay stuff.

You guys, aye. Can't you think independently?

If you do not have anything adult to contribute here, the best advice is to just read what the grown ups write and leave it at that.

And here's a heads up, I'm afraid you're out of the loop dipstick.
