Every few months in OZ some scientist finds some more fossilised bones of dinosaurs, quite often new species. That's not to mention the bones of megafauna too.
I have no doubt that because nothing has ever been found yet, it never will. Considering that there must have been millions and millions of pre human primates, and thousands of different types at that during their evolutionary cycle, something should have surfaced by now. |

| We have too many suberbia Aboriginals.The suberbias are a waste of public money,they have every oportunity to work like every other australian.All Aboriginal funding should go to keep indiginous people and their culture.North American Indians have to be by Indian law 1/3 - 1/2 - 1/1 any less you have heritage but no claim.So that should be the case in Australia.I have a heritage background but bone white so why should i ask for that,that is not mine. |

The Aboriginals are doing what a lot of wild animals do. It's natural for them to head into towns looking for food, booze and handouts (obviously not soap).
You have to remember Rusty, you are dealing with people who are one evolutionary level above that of an ape. The difference is you can train apes. |

From Science Daily, discussing the new fossil finds a million years older than Lucy.
"Darwin said we have to be really careful. The only way we're really going to know what this last common ancestor looked like is to go and find it. Well, at 4.4 million years ago we found something pretty close to it. And, just like Darwin appreciated, evolution of the ape lineages and the human lineage has been going on independently since the time those lines split, since that last common ancestor we shared," White said.
This special issue of Science includes an overview article, three articles that describe the environment Ardipithecus inhabited, five that analyze specific parts of Ardipithecus' anatomy, and two that discuss what this new body of scientific information may imply for human evolution.
Altogether, forty-seven different authors from around the world contributed to the total study of Ardipithecus and its environment. The primary authors are Tim White of the University of California, Berkeley, Berhane Asfaw of Rift Valley Research Service in Addis Ababa, Giday WoldeGabriel of Los Alamos National Laboratory, Gen Suwa of the University of Tokyo, and C. Owen Lovejoy of Kent State University.
"These are the results of a mission to our deep African past," said WoldeGabriel, who is also Project co-Director and geologist.

By me back in July;
You know Ropes, I just can't figure out how you can believe that humans could have evolved in OZ, parallel to the evolution in Africa.
There is no pre human evidence at all as far as I know.
By Ropes;
i dont believe it to be a proven fact but it warrants more investigation, it's an interesting theory and some unbiased thought should be put into idea.

No son, you're clutching at straws. Ab never evolved here, and there would not be one credible scientist in the world who supports your suggestion. As usual you are so far off base as to be nonsensical.
What do your kids and your wife think? |

Of course Ropes, you would know far more than these scientists do. I guess that has to do with your living with a religious cult.
Funny thing is though, all over Australia fossilised bones of dinosaurs have been unearthed, as well as bones from our now extinct mega fauna and early Ab types, but not a SINGLE one, not a SINGLE one, from anything which resembles a pre human.
Give it up son, you're just making a fool of yourself.
And do your kids believe that nonsense too, or have they learned the scientific facts. The facts you have been unable to prevent them from learning. |

email means eltronic mail, not evil mail as some individual(s) on these boards seem to think.
the type of person who threatens by phone, writes defamatory letters or emails is well below the standard of decent humanity, the type of person who will stoop the lowest for self gratification.
anyone here know that kind of person? |

Do you mean like someone who posts what they believe is someones address here. The type of person who suggests that his family and friends will bash you on sight, etc.
That seems to be the type of person you are referring to Ropes.
Appears you are that kind of person. Do you like yourself? |

Is Racism a Mental Illness?
Yes
It can be a delusional symptom of psychotic disorders
Alvin F Poussaint, Professor of psychiatry
To continue perceiving extreme racism as normative and not pathologic is to lend it legitimacy. Clearly, anyone who scapegoats a whole group of people and seeks to eliminate them to resolve his or her internal conflicts meets criteria for a delusional disorder, a major psychiatric illness.
------------------------- ------------------------- -----
Racism is caused by fear
In some cases racism can generate such an enormous amount of anger that it can cause a war. The thing that causes this anger is mainly fear. Fear that the stranger will take your house, your job, your wife. You don’t know who this stranger is, and he doesn’t know you. To fight racism we have to get to know each other and learn more about each other’s cultures. We have got to share each other’s joys, but also learn that we often have the same problems and worries. |

The Coniston massacre, which took place in 1928 on Coniston cattle station, Northern Territory, Australia, was the last known massacre of Indigenous Australians. People of the Warlpiri, Anmatyerre and Kaytetye groups were killed. The massacre occurred in revenge for the death of dingo hunter, Frederick Brooks, supposedly killed by Aborigines in August 1928 at a place now known as Yukurru, (also Brooks Soak).
Official records at the time stated that thirty-one people were killed. A member of the punitive party for the first few days and the then owner of Coniston station (Mr Randall Stafford) estimated that at least twice that number were killed. Some historians estimate that at least sixty Aboriginal men, women and children were killed; others estimate as many as 110 were killed |
