gaming is good brain exercise, especially for those of us who are approaching the other side of the hill :)
have all the gran turismo games,
grand theft auto 4 lets you get rid of those blues |

My, now adult, sons and I, as well as some of my wives, liked to play the 'Driver' game, and my little ones and I still do.
Driver 2 came out and we played that as well, however I always liked the 1st one best, for good fun.
Then another one came out which had blokes jumping out of cars and general gangster stuff. After that they had hookers and heaps of blood and guts everywhere.
Once they started getting out of the cars, and the chases etc became almost 2nd fiddle to the game, I had no time for them.
Once my boys introduced me to Gran Turismo, many years back, I was hooked on races. Although never interested in Formula 1 racing cars. Or anything else for that matter.
When my wife died in 2000, I reckon I would have gone off the rails had it not been for the distraction of GT2, or was it GT3.
Completed all them, however there are a few in GT5 I haven't managed to get. It's fair to say though that I do not spend very much time on the game these days. Looking forward to the real GT5 though when it comes out, maybe this year? |

My 6 yr old was playing GT3 today, and in Arcade mode, Time Attack, the last race, Complex Strings. The best Jap example (comes with the game) did it in 4 min 49.8 sec on 28-4-01.
My best, 1-6-03, was 4 min 49.5.
My son never reached the end to get a score and wanted me to try. My first completion was 5 min 8 sec and my last, an hour later, was 4 min 58.7.
By then my fingertips were sore, and my son had had enough of dad playing.
This is a long race in a Porsche (RGT) and very, very tricky.
Wondering if you recall it, and am interested in having another go, to compare times. |

| only upgraded to ps3 a couple of months, so sold off the ps2 and all my games. have as yet to play gt5. got into v8 supercars for a while. bathurst would have to be the best track, flying across the top of the mountain what a ride |
