Re:Federal Intervention stories. Reply to this message
IF you learn what happened around world you will understand most cultures passed from hunter gatherer stage to cultivator stage, on to the Industrial stage, next to...?

Sufficient evidence exists of some areas in Australia moving to cultivation pre Cook. Reality is large areas had not.

Whilst exists some denial of Industrial economic powers being more powerful than hunter-gatherer cultures... usually looking at reality cures this.

One obvious example is asking people if they prefer walk from Alice to Darwin or fly a plane...

Education has cultural baggage, some good some bad, but education is about learning to do things better, so as to live easier... not forcing us to live they way everyone did 200/2000 years ago

By Ropes, last Sat;
i hope you are proud of being a white man, i'm not
~~~~~~
You're a disgrace, that's what you are Ropes.
As reported in the NT NEWS, 2nd Dec 2008.
The Australian Medical Association report says,
Aboriginal people are up to 3 times more likely to die in their first year of life.
More likely to be stillborn.
Born premature.
Have low birth weight.
Or.......Die in the first month of life!!!!
For goodness sake Ropes, whose bloody fault is all this? White peoples? No.
When these black girls (12 and 13 year olds are not uncommon) and women are flown to Royal Darwin Hospital, or Katherine Hospital, or to Alice or Gove hospitals to give birth, they are given the best treatment available in Australia. In fact they are flown interstate if necessary for treatment, as one of my fullblood wives was a few years ago.
And when they leave the hospital they leave healthy and with a healthy baby. Once they get back home to their remote community though all the good advice they received is forgotten, straight out the window.
The fact is, 'They do not Look after their Children Properly'.
They do not give children the same amount of care or importance that white mothers and fathers do. Their children fail because they do not look after them properly.
In fact white women also live and work in some communities however their children do not suffer like the black ones do.
We do not need to look in our own backyard's Ropes because we have nothing to hide, the statistics are all on record.
It is people like you who want to cover up the likes of what I have reported above that should be ashamed of themselves.
Even young people from your own community had to travel to Katherine to have their concerns about drugs, alcohol, stealing, fighting etc addressed.
No comment on my post about black children and how many of their mothers do not provide 'proper care' for them Ropes?
I guess you wouldn't have much to say, you want to pretend that these people are the equal of, or better than us. Many aren't son, as you well know. And it seems that even in your own community, after 30 odd years there, you have done squat.
You said;
i've been told that i may have white skin, but i have a black heart
~~~~~~
Black heart is right you fool. It is not a compliment. You clearly are not helping the lives of young people in your community. I think you have been bludging off Aboriginal people for long enough.

you are a bloody fool if you think i have been "bludging"
on aboriginal people in my community for over 30 years,then why am i still here. i would have been removed from the community long ago, the way most white blow-ins are removed when the overstay their welcome.
being a fully initiated whitefella into the local ceremony and culture, i am respected for the work i have done over the years assisting the community in getting rid of the white bludgers with the same attitude as yours

Thanks Ropes, that was what I was waiting for you to say.
I expect many of us would be interested in just who these 'white bludgers' you 'assisted the community in getting rid of' were, and why 'you' wanted them out.
But we know you would be very selective in your answers, if they could be believed at all that is.

Hang on let me get this right. You have been living there for the past 30 years and you haven't trained any of the locals to do your job ???

This indicates two things. Either the locals are too dumb to do whatever it is you do, or you have a nice cushy job and don't want things to change. Something tells me you are just bludging of the locals and the tax payer.

If you had any respect for them you would have trained someone to take over your role. Obviously, despite all your bleeting, you don't believe the locals are capable of looking after themselves. Hypocrite

Re:Federal Intervention stories. Reply to this message
People removed from communities were rarely the troublemakers, usually has been those people who refuse to go along turning a blind eye to the corruption, the criminal, the plain disgraceful actions and inactions taken by those organisations, departments, government and the land trusts who just liked how things were going as long as kept out of the news.

The problem for a long time has been "special measures".

The problem continues to be "special measures".

We need get rid of the "special measures" and have plain old ordinary measures as apply in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and elsewhere...

"special measures" are those excuse which increase the problems...

Re:Federal Intervention stories. Reply to this message
One of my ex wives (fullblood) who was at my place yesterday and today, told me she has to go to a funeral for a relation who died the other day. This bloke was kicked out of his community because he and his wife would bash people when they would not hand over money when asked. Whenever they heard someone had got some royalty money, or whatever, they would go looking for them and if it was a man the husband would bash him if he refused to give them money, or if it was a woman the wife would attack her.
Seems he got some, perhaps, unintentional payback.
Violence is endemic in remote communities and an accepted part of normal life.

***Something tells me you are just bludging of the locals and the tax payer. ***

by the look of the times of day you post, i would say you dont work, but sit on your a r s e all day bludging on tax payers like myself.

over 30 years in my community i have had a number of jobs, one which included coordinator of the local media association in which i assisted in the training of local people who later went on to pass the Broadcasting and Journalism course at Batchelor College. at present i supervise around 30 men in positions which include Civil Works, Waste Management and Parks & Gardens. my crew recently won the best working crew of the month.
i don't think this is bludging, i think YOU are bludging on your white society, but thats nothing out of the ordinary, white australians are known around as the laziest people in the world

Not even a good try son. How could it possibly be that you don't understand that the majority here think you are just a pathetic apologist.
You know that was a great story of yours about how you 'advised' the community to get rid of some other white people who have worked there over the years.
That couldn't happen in white society, unfair dismissal laws etc.

Is that how you have kept your job for so long, get rid of anyone who you see as a threat to you. Those who you think might speak out and tell the truth about your role, and the roles of others?
