Recently in my Police File thread I posted the story of an assault by two males of Aboriginal appearance who stabbed a young bloke over a smoke.
In today's paper there is a similar story.
A 24 year old bloke was walking home to his family from a mates place when he was accosted by 4 drunken men whom he had witnessed fighting amongst themselves. They produced a knife and a steel pole and demanded his belt, his mobile phone and his wallet. The one with the knife told him to do as they said or he'll stab him.
"I just gave them everything and didn't argue" he said. They said (because they had his wallet) that they knew where he lived and that if he did anything wrong they would come and kill him in his sleep.
He said the 4 men were of Aboriginal appearance and were drunk.
Anyone with information about the robbery should call police on 131 144. |

| Well perhaps I read it wrong Ropes. Maybe the four blokes were just having a quiet discussion about how to save the pristine wilderness of their respective communities, and that young white fella came along and demanded they take his belt and wallet and phone, as compensation for some alleged unfair dealings in the past. That sounds more like it, aye! |

Everything is relative Ropa. Relative to the population.
In the NT Aboriginals comprise about 30% of the population yet account for 80% of jail inmates.
These are all government figures, I didn't make them up.

Denton soldier charged in murder

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Fort Bragg soldier stabbed to death in a plot police believe was created by her husband suffered wounds that suggest she fought back against her attacker, according to an autopsy made available Wednesday.
Richard Smith Sgt. Christina E. Smith, 29, of Mount Orab, Ohio, died from damage caused to two arteries and her jugular vein, the report said. She was stabbed twice in the back, once in the neck and once in the left arm, according to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s report.
Her husband, Sgt. Richard Smith, 26, of Denton, and Pfc. Matthew Kvapil, 19, of Santee, Calif., have been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder in her death. The Smiths and Kvapil were assigned to the 4th Psychological Operations Group.
Both men were scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
Police reports said Kvapil told investigators that he dressed in black and hid in bushes while the Smiths walked near their Fayetteville apartment the evening of Sept. 30. When the pair passed his hiding spot, he jumped out and stabbed Christina Smith to death, he said.
Officers responding to the emergency call found Richard Smith holding his wife, stabbed and bleeding in the roadway.
He told them an attacker stabbed his wife in the neck and fled.
Kvapil told authorities that Richard Smith had propositioned him at least twice about killing Christina Smith, eventually offering him $30,000 for the deed to be carried out.
Richard Smith told authorities he’d mentioned having his wife killed to people several times, but only in fun.
Kvapil later led authorities to the knife used in the attack, which he had discarded in a creek several miles from the crime scene.
Christina Smith is the fourth service member in North Carolina whose husband or lover has been charged in their deaths this year.

Attempted robbery – Bus
Police are investigating an incident that occurred on a bus on Tuesday night at approximately 9:00 pm.
It is alleged that a 57-year-old male was driving a bus along Parap Road when he stopped and was approached by a male boarding the bus.
The male produced a large knife and demanded money from the driver, before fleeing the vehicle and running down the street.
The incident was later reported to police.
The offender is described as a male of indigenous appearance, approximately 20 years of age, 175cm’s, slim build, medium length dark hair and at the time of the incident was wearing jeans and a white and red sleeveless shirt.
Police are urging anyone that may have information in relation to this event, or who may recognise this man, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Of course Ropes we could do a story about how some of the so called, "indigenous all stars" are up here for a game and visiting some Aboriginal communities.
I have no doubt that any children who see them will immediately buckle down to their schoolwork like never before. Even turn up more often.
Or maybe they will think that because these people make such a lot of money by playing sport, it means sport is much more important than schoolwork.
But the AFL thinks it makes good PR having them go to communities, and that's all that really matters.

Arrest - Katherine
Katherine detectives have arrested a 17-year-old male in Katherine following a series of assaults and other criminal offences in the Kalkaringi community. This follows the arrest of a 37-year-old man on Saturday (14 February) who was charged with the stabbing of a 34-year-old man in a related incident.
It is alleged the youth assaulted another 17-year-old male youth with a Nulla Nulla and later burnt a motor vehicle in the community after running it and the occupants off the road.
The youth has been charged with:
Recklessly endanger life
Aggravated assault
Go armed in public
Drive vehicle in a manner dangerous
Aggravated criminal damage
Interfere with motor vehicle
Fight in a public place
Drive unregistered/uninsured motor vehicle
Drive motor vehicle while unlicensed (x2)
He was bailed to appear at the Kalkaringi Youth Justice Court on 21 April.
The investigations into the incident are on-going and further people are expected to be charged. |

Drug apprehension – Airport
With the assistance of the Airport Uniform Police, members of the Remote Community Drug Desk apprehended a 45-year-old male in relation to drugs located in his possession at the Darwin Airport yesterday.
Police conducted a baggage search on a passenger travelling to Millingimbi at approximately 9:00 am and with the assistance of a drug detector dog, located 498.75 grams of cannabis in 597 clip seal bags and 84.42 kilograms of kava.
A 45-year-old male was subsequently arrested and charged with possession and supply of a commercial quantity of kava and possession and supply trafficable quantity of cannabis and was bailed to appear in the Maningrida Court 7 April.
It is believed that this seizure, if sold in a remote community, had a potential street value of up to $213 000.

Oh, now I get it, it's not the peoples fault who come into town from communities to buy drugs to take back and sell, its all the fault of the white dealers in town.
But not always white, a number of times Aboriginal people have pointed out to me who they buy drugs off to resell in communities, and sometimes they are also Aboriginal.
About as silly as blaming pubs for selling grog to Aboriginal people who then go and resell, and/or, drink it in a community.
I know many many Aboriginal people who smoke dope, and while light use may not be a health problem, many I know smoke it very heavily. This means at every opportunity they can, or can afford. Which brings us to the main reason why it is not good for communities. White people in communities who make reasonable money can easily afford to smoke regularly, they are also more likely to be aware of the health issues being debated about the heavy use of it.
For many Aboriginal people though it's just full steam ahead, regardless. And it costs them dearly as it is about double the price if I remember correctly. That takes a large slice out of the family coffers. And doesn't do the kids much good either when mum and dad are off their face. |

how many white children suffer from the effects of being fed junk food by their parents because they are too lazy to provide them with a healthy diet. the problems of over weight white children is rampaging through white society. focus on the problems of your own community instead of criticising people who suffer daily from discrimination and racism from idiots like you |

Well my boy, having a car full of blackfellas pull up at my place is nothing new. Many come to visit me because of my relationship with their sisters, cousins, cousin sister, ex wives, aunties, etc etc. You should know what it's like. Mind you, I generally have to tie the dogs up because they get aggressive when people talk loudly. Like most fullbloods do.
However of course Ropes, you are surreptitiously suggesting something quite different. You know I thought you may have got over your little hissy fits by now, but it seems I am wrong. One thing I am not wrong about though is your penchant for spreading this false notion of yours that all Australian whites are racist against Aboriginals. I guess that until you have lived with as many black women as I have, from many different locations around the NT, and dealt with their families, you will never understand. Also, because you have no adult part Aboriginal children who have lived and worked in both cultures, like mine have, you will remain just another white bloke working in an Aboriginal community because they cannot manage in mainstream Australia. Over 30 years in the same community, spreading your racist propaganda. You should really be ashamed of yourself.

Do you not concede that per head of population, there are far more community members smoking pot, and not being in control of their addiction, than there is amongst the general population in Darwin etc.
Do you not agree that there is more domestic violence in communities than amongst the general population in Darwin etc?
Do you not agree that there is a far more overwhelming amount of general violence in communities than in Darwin etc?
