To help pay off the labour paryy state debt, NSW need to elect a strongly lead right wing party.
We need a right wing party that is to the right of the state liberals, a new party may be needed. |

| A strong party is really just a perception that depends largely on the amount of election funding it has at its disposal. More funding means more media exposure and more spin. From memory, at the last State election the NSW Labor Party had 10 times the funding available to it than the Liberal Party. A new party is not necessarily the answer as it is doubtful that it could raise sufficient funds for an election campaign. There certainly is a good argument for monitoring political donations. Donations can be given in exchange for favours as we have seen. There is also the issue of subjective journalism in the media - that issue is a real concern for democracy in Australia. There are many examples where a politician has something worthy to say but the media chooses not to report it or to edit / misquote it so that the message is completely misconstrued. |

When a state or country has slipped as far off the rails as NSW and Australia then only a radical right wing goverment will have the nerve to do what has got to be done. In the words of one of the greatest leaders ever, Lady Margaret Thatcher, "yes some people will go to the wall but it must be done for our survival"
I doubt australia has such a leader at this time, which is very unfortunate for us. |

IF you are suggesting that a Liberal Party would be better; I would think that since(according to a discussion with a Liberal on Lateline) they are still developing policy "in opposition" after all these years; you are sadly mistaken. |

All of Australia needs a strong right wing party that is not afraid to do what the people want.
Each state would benefit by having a move to the right.
The people want to be rid of the Islamic scourge and the goody goody socialist goverments will not do this.
The people want this country from gettingvthatfar into debt we will have to sell off our resources to overseas goverments(China) to survive.
NSW should start the recovery by getting rid of a weak socialist goverment.
To survive we need to go right wing. |

Senior Liberals are urging Robert Doyle to consider a return to state politics, and the Lord Mayor is believed to be interested.
Cr Doyle was elected Lord Mayor in November for a four-year term and it is unclear if he is considering a return to state politics after 2012 or a move sooner if a seat in State Parliament becomes available.
Cr Doyle would not be drawn yesterday on a possible move to state politics.
''I am very happy being Lord Mayor - I have got a four-year term to serve,'' he told The Age.
Cr Doyle's name had previously been floated for a possible tilt at former treasurer Peter Costello's federal seat of Higgins, but it is believed he is not interested in federal politics or contesting another term as Lord Mayor in 2012, with state politics his preference.
Senior Liberal Party sources have told The Age that Opposition Leader Ted Baillieu's poor performance in the opinion polls and Cr Doyle's strong performance and extensive media coverage as Lord Mayor had fuelled interest in Cr Doyle returning to Spring Street.
Cr Doyle was Victorian opposition leader from 2002 to 2006 before quitting state politics.
A senior Liberal source said Cr Doyle was in an ideal position to return to state politics. ''He's on television most nights of the week; Baillieu never gets that sort of exposure,'' he said
He said there was no doubt the Liberal Party would welcome Cr Doyle back.

Aquaman609 - That is not enough, a lot of criminals are better treat and have a better life in Jail, fining does not help at all as they are on the dole or the parents pay the fine.
What really works is fear and pain. Look no further than Singapore, I have walked around all parts of Singapore with my family at any hour and have never been or felt threatend.
WHY?
They use fear and pain, the Ratan is a very good detterent against crime, it hurts like hell and nobody goes back for a 2nd dose.
The criminals & kids have heard about the pain and are frightend, hence Singapore is a very safe place,very advanced ahead of Australia, their economy is good, with a far right goverment.
Bring the Ratan to Australia. |

Ausgal, your remarks so far as Singapore is concerned are laughable. Seriously.
The PAP is far from being a right wing organisation. Adding to which, Singapore's relative stability comes down to far more than those select policies you highlight. |
