the traffic in sydney is a nightmare, especially after being away for a few years.
surely in this modern day we can work from home more, locate offices and factories away from the city. |

| that is what the nsw gov has been doing for years. the 7 cities plan i think it was called. Sydney is the only city in aus that has large urban cities within its greater metro area. |

That's a great idea... I'm sure the greaseball Iemma would agree with the sentiment just so long as he doen't have to provide infrastructure to cope.
There are enormous tracts of land, great facilities etc etc just 100km west of Penrith. Everything is very cheap compared to Sydney.... nobody will move their business though because there is no efficient transport link and Iemma doesn't believe in building roads or rail outside of Newcastle, Sydney and Wollongong. If anybody understands this, please let me know the reasons why because I for one can't grasp the logic. |
