| When are you people gunna stop blaming our truckies who are out there doing their job? When are you gunna put the blame where it belongs? You, the consumer, are the ones who put the ridiculous time schedules on the drivers, and i can guarantee, if our truckies decided they have had enough of being the scape goats and have a national 'stop work', park their trucks and not go to work for a week, to prove how much you rely on us, you, the consumer would be the first to be jumping up and down cos you dont have your precious fresh milk and newspapers and whatever else. The repercussions would last for months. The trucking industry could hold the whole country to ransom, cos we dont rely on the sheeps back anymore, you rely on whats on the back of that semitrailer overtaking you to make his deadline. |

o.k truck driver.
You defend their speeding when it takes a truck longer to stop than a car and they cannot go through corners as easy and can easily jack knife. |

| We know how long it takes to stop a semi trailer carrying 22 tonnes of freight, yet some people still think it is perfectly fine to pull in front of one on the road and cut down the driver's stopping room. Some truckies may be cowboys, but after working with them for 11 years and seeing what people in cars do on the road, they do need a break. |

i want to know why truck drivers have to fill out a log book, why doesnt the gov make cars as well fill out ones no diff if doing the same distance.
i will defend truck drivers all the way, i know some cowboys but most of them have familys and the krapola they have to deal with from cars on the road are pathetic. Car drivers think that if they sit behind a truck they are going to slow so what do they do over take when they cant see whats in front of them. a bit of patients goes along way. remember if it wasnt for truckies we wouldnt have fuel, food etc. |

i hate trucks due to 2 things, their size and the drivers for wat they did to me.
if ur wondering wat they did here it is, i was driving from brisbane to taree which is around 600km long trip, myself and 2 other trucks were on overtaking lanes so at the last minute when the lanes were closing the 1st was infront of me and the 2nd truck was beside me and i had to get in the other lane which the 2nd truck was in, so i had no choice but to go off the road and to make it worse there was a rail there, too bad if i had hit it.
Now do u say give the truckies a break i dont,
also the truckies drive way too close, i cant help it if im a p plater and i do the speed limit |

princess any time other drivers are giving you a hard time - pushing you - let them get in front. The sooner and further away from you they are the better.
I usually defend truckies to the end - but the other day I saw a truckie nearly wipe a car out at the merging lane - the car was slightly ahead of him and the trucker was not going to back off. Luckily the car was a 4wd and handled the push down the trench. Scary. |

| i did let them get infront i was staying in the non overtaking lane so they could get infront of me, but they decided to go at the last minute when my lane was closing, they ganged up on up me |

I don't think many people give a sh*( about their deadlines when they are putting peoples lives at risk...
SPEEDING, DRIVING TOO CLOSE TO OTHER VEHICLES, MERGING ONTO MAIN ROADS LIKE MANIACS.
I am sick and tired of their careless attitudes, mind you I know that there are plenty of RESPONSIBLE truck drivers out there but the few that are careless give the rest a bad name. |

| Who gets the break re: the truck driver hauling logs on the north side of Coffs Harbour last week that was killed? The poor man was pulled over in the emergency break down lane, had his safety triangles set out but still got ploughed into by another truck, engulfed in flames and died. What the hell was the other truck driver doing? Sleeping? Instead of whinging and talking about going on strike, why don't the drivers band together and go on strike against the ridiculous deadlines placed on them and try and get some answers that way instead of putting themselves and others at risk. I agree that not all drivers are irresponsible but there are many that are. |

| ok yes i will give truckies a break but i do object to them when they purposely tail gate me and i am in the left lane,if they are on a tight schedule go around me, keep a far distance away from me.thats all i aks and yes without truckies businesses would go under,hail the truckies |

| yeah i'm a car driver and to be honest when i use to drive the f3 to sydney every morning there were many many many more actionws of stupidity by car drivers that adveresley affected truckies and other road users then anything any of the truckies ever done , my point is yes there are idiots who drive trucks but there's far more in cars |
