ACT election 2008 Reply to this message
I will come up with some good election ideas, hoping this time the thread doesn't get the chop.

It will just be that the ideas will be coming slowly, after all, this is Canberra.

Idea one and two got chopped, I presume someone flamed the thread.

The intersection where Mort St meets both Girrahween St and the Haig Park has lots of pedestrians crossing amongst busy traffic and no pedestrian crossing.

Today out walking I discovered workman repaving and marking lines on the road designating refuge islands. Very happy about this activity today, this appears to be an action to prevent injury or death ahead of an injury or death occurring. Government gets credit for this.

I don't now need to ask that question during this election. Very happy with this effort Stanhope.

I contributed three ideas to the local election. Of the two on road safety, one is being attended to now. The other matter I hope will be fixed as many other people are concerned about that. On the last idea, well so what - it was merely an idea.

So what do you have to add in way of ideas for the coming election Ann?

Re:ACT election 2008 Reply to this message
You may be aware that it was the death of a lovely lady on the pedestrian crossing located in Alinga Street that closed this street; and it was made a walking area.
(well that was the excuse at the time).

Now you are saying that the walk ways are no use.
Well Gotham City (Civic) is getting no better is it?

My voting intentions are personal to myself and as such I will be making my decision without pressure from any other person. As for my contributions to the community, my raising issues such as road safety is a contribution to the community. Thanks.

I no nothing of the Alinga Street question. I do know about the road / pedestrian situation as mentioned above and I am most happy to see this changed as I have often observed the dangers present. Again, very happy to see this change as it will certainly prevent future harm.

Well that is a question for you to decide upon. I do believe Stanhope will be returned however I am disgusted with Stanhope's failures toward issues relating to my health and recovery. He asks me to put matters into writing and then fails to reply. he talks about me to other people in the community making promises and so forth, yet refuses to communicate with me directly as if he has something to hide.

Go and have a look and ask yourself whether Kerry Stokes will be informed.

The other concern appears clearly as the lack of concern. ACT is non-political. DOH!!!
