Current Weather Situation and Future Developments
A trough is crossing southeast NSW today, bringing the possibility of some
showers or thunderstorms to the ACT this afternoon and evening. In the wake of
the trough a southeasterly airstream will become established by Friday with much
cooler conditions expected. The combination of a moist southeasterly airstream
and some cold air lingering in the upper atmosphere may bring further showers at
times through the Easter weekend. Another trough is forecast to move over the
region during the middle of next week, with more shower activity likely.
Forecast for Thursday evening
Isolated showers or thunderstorms. Moderate to fresh northwest winds.
Precis: Chance shower/thunderstorm.

Winds on Lake: Northwesterly 20-30 km/h.

Cooler and mostly cloudy with isolated showers. Moderate southeast winds.

Current Weather Situation and Future Developments
A cold front will pass to the south of the region tonight. The change will bring
some shower activity to the ranges, with a dusting of snow to the Alpine region,
but fine weather is expected for Canberra. Much cooler night time temperatures
are expected for the remainder or the week, particularly Friday and Saturday
mornings when we may see some light frost about the region. The days are
expected to be mild and sunny.

Mostly fine apart from isolated showers mainly about the ranges. Moderate to
fresh west to northwest winds.
