I am so disappointed that Channel 7 seems to love to smear peoples names. After the Channel 7 AFL debacle you would think thay would have learnt something. The new Target is Bec Hewitt who claims she was not even given the right of reply on their report on her charity work. What ethics does this channel have? This show is becoming a video version of the national enquirer, to be fair Channel 9's A Current Affair is not much better.

Agree wholeheartedly! Getting more like the slimy side of the tabloids every day. The big worry is that a lot of this "stuff" is unsubstantiated codswallop!

Poor Bec! I think that when she originally made her promise, she probably was intending to contribute more in a physical sense. However, I'm quite sure she didn't forsee the fact that she would be married with a small child, and even without the constant travelling these things tend to consume your life and time at a rate that no single person can truly appreciate!! Most people who are honest will admit that once married with a young child you tend to find that you just can't do it all, and as Bec and Lleyton are only human, I guess they're in the same boat! Today Tonight was one of my favourite shows, but recently I'm almost ashamed to be seen watching it!!!

Sharon, agree with you totally. I'm just more and more disgusted everytime I watch TT. Its become all about pulling someone down. I wonder if the people who make TT are perfect people in themselves. Maybe ACA should do a story on each member of the TT crew and pull them down, point out where they've said they will do something and haven't done it.... People in glass houses should NOT throw stones.

TT is the worst "current affairs" show on TV at the moment.
I wonder if they still would have done the story if Bec Hewitt was still signed to the network.
It's like when a few months ago they interviewed a woman who was living in a rental property owned by channel 9 actor John Jarrat (Macleods Daughters) and it went on about how me was trying to terrorise them into moving out (they played messages he left on her answering machine). A few days leter John Jarratt and his wife was interviewed on ACA and told their side. The woman renting from them hadn't paid rent for months and had threatened John Jarrett's wife which is why he left the message on their machine. None of this was reported on TT and the Jarrett's had proff to back their story up. |

Today Tonight - Manufactured Journalism.
They claim that the Hewits didn't donate to the charity because the money came from her winnings on Dancing with the stars. Who cares where the money came from, she worked for that money. What do channel 7 expect people to appear free on their highest rating show. Pathetic...
So when you leave CH 7, they don't like it and you become fair game..Carefully Kochie, they love you now, don't try and leave..

'I wonder if they still would have done the story if Bec Hewitt was still signed to the network.'
The fact she went with NINE was no doubt the motivation behind the story
