gawd, you guys have to be in your 30's.
Yup alot of those bands rock(ed), although I shudder admitting I listened to Poison.
Def Leppard's Hysteria I will still be playing 10 years from now, as well as Hot in the Shade from Kiss, Power Slave from Iron Maiden, Starfire Burning... from Bal Sagoth and No Fuel Left... by D*A*D. Oh and lets not forget Operation Mindcrime by Queensryche (considered by many as the best hard rock album of all time).
In the modern day I still listen to Manowar, and have taken up Rhapsody, Sentenced and of all things Trans Siberian Orchestra (they make christmas albums LOL).
Oh to relive the 80's. What a decade. ;)
Cheers |

| The best hard rock band ever, is a band called Black Level Embassy. They have an EP out at the moment called Sabertooth Tiger, and play big hard hitting riffs, with great droning vocals, and post-punk/new wave elements. Just think of Nirvana or even Bon Jovi (before they started to suck), with elements of The Birthday Party in it. Awesome. |

Failing that, try the Scandanavian band The Hellacopters (no, it's not Lordi from Eurovision, Scandanavia DOES have more than one band you know.)
Again, they play big heavy riffs along the lines of Poison or Kiss, with extremely pi.ssed off vocals. They sound like Poison meets The Stooges.
P.S They dont sing in English. |
