Water Wastage of MONUMENTAL proportions Reply to this message
Leaving for work yesterday, the Redlands City Council had to do some maintenance of the water mains yesterday, from 8am to 4pm.

SO they turned off the mains and proceeded to EMPTY THE ENTIRE CONTENTS OF THE FRESH WATER MAINS DOWN THE DRAIN!!!!!!

Everywhere there was a large hose connected to release the water and the water sent down the drain.

Not collected and re-used or on-sold but sent down the drain.

I suppose this could have been better co-ordinated and arranged water tankers there for re distribution. Some councils don`t seem to think that far ahead.

On a similar note, how many times do w see street lights on all day, or council golf courses and parks with sprinklers on while it`s raining.
