Hi yahooligans. Can someone help me out with some advice?
I live next door to a complete nutcase.She calls the police and makes up allegations against me. We share a common front yard and she has poisoned all the grass in the yard and out on the nature strip and fence line.She says she hates grass but six months later the weeds are waist high and out comes the poison again.Today was the final straw and i get home from the doctors and shes called the police on me once again. The reason was because i rang her door bell several times, it was actually once and shes supposed to be deaf but told the cops i rang it over and over. The reason i went to her door was because she stole over $ 150 worth of plants from my front garden yet this fb!tch called the cops on me.Ive so had it im afraid what i will do to her the next time i see her out the front.Im thinking of taking an avo or talking to a chamber magistrate about it.Any advice would be appreciated. |

| I did talk to them tonight but they informed me they have to respond to every call even if they know its the same nutcase. Yet if someone breaks into your home and steals all your stuff it takes the police 3 weeks to show up if they bother at all.I am at breaking point with this nut and so far ive kept myself in check but i know its only a matter of time before i slap the living cr@p out of her.I have lived a quiet peaceful life for 8 years and i spent a lot of money making the front yard look really nice.I even planted expensive plants along the fence border on both our sides and paid for them out of my own money.I painted the fence when it became run down and this is how this creature rewards my hard work.Stealing all the plants and leaving the Cr@ppy ones behind.Im so livid i seriously feel like harming her.To replace the plants as they well well established now would cost $40 a pot. |

| id get her charged for stealing.life really sucks when you have a bad neighbour.your home should be your haven where you want to relax and enjoy your family or just chill.have you tried sitting down with her and solving the problem.dumb question because you already said you planted and painted her side of the home.go see a judge and see what he/she has to say. |

She might be a greenie watching you waste all our future drinking water. Or your watering might cut off her water flow.
My neighbour is constantly on me to grow grass in my 2m square share of the front yard...hey! I do not want to go out there at all - I do not want to have to see or speak to my 'neighbours'. |

Make a police report every time she harasses you.. they have to comply, make sure it is typed up and signed by you, not just put in a policeman's log book and lost...
This will build up a body of evidence, apply for the AVO, get it, if she continues, you will have more avenues of action before you because 1. She will have broken the law by breaching the AVO, and the police will have to act, and 2. You will then have supporting evidence. |

I agree with leethal - this is the only sensible and effective way to go. It's a pain and'll probably make you feel like a bit of a nut yourself - but what else can you do? |

I know people with 'neighbours from hell", you know the ones, with three dogs, eight kids, teenagers on trail bikes and hooning around the place in hotted up bombs, wild noisy parties, bashing each other up and wanting to take on the neighbours as well.
Apparently the police don't do a great deal, they come out and speak to all parties concerned, but apart from that, what can they do?
It's a matter of hoping they move on soon, or move on yourself, but that's not always possible. |

My heart aches for you folks with neighbors from hell...my neighbors are all wonderful people...no one makes noise or parties all night...no barking dogs...no screaming kids...there have been only two husband/wife fights (just loud yelling) in the 8 years I have lived here.
If the police won't do much about it, you really haven't got much recourse...I like the idea of the flaming poo on the front porch, but with forensics and DNA today, you might have the cops asking you for a "sample"...lolol |

Been here done that i had the church woman from hell and her five brats-
She rang the real estate to complain my garden was overgrown, then called the cops cause i had the radio on in the car while weeding ( normal stereo no subs, amps and only two speakers working).
They gave the son a slingshot, went after the postman put a hole through my window, and hit the neighbours.
Threw breadrolls on my roof.
Told my kids he was going to murder my baby son.
When we complained her answer was that it was all my kids and that her son was innocent. The father admitted that the son had problems.
She rang another parent and abused her over the phone.
It got to a point where I could not allow my kids out the front. She also called the police all the time on everyone else in the cul-de-sac.
In the end we moved, only to find out six months later that someone had their solicitor send her a letter stating that it was harrassment and that they would take further legal action, and they moved. |

what do you mean you share a common front yard?
are you both renting....have you seen the landlord about her trespassing on your side of the yard? (do you have definite sides?)....perhaps a fence between you is in order?
your property is your property...even if only one side of an open shared area....you are responsible for it and am surprised the police have not cautioned this woman to stay clear of your side, especially after using poison and stealing ,etc...
is she defined under 'mental health act'???

slap yourself slapper. Meanwhile I will describe a shared front yard, common these days - total fight territory.
A shared front yard is one in which there may be one driveway that services a number of flats, commonly there are no front fences and no real division of yards. If someone happens to park a car in the wrong spot - others can't get in. If someone happens to have kids they play at the others front doors and windows.
The whole communal idea - sucks.
So opener should go to the landlords and ask for some real divider between the units and each stay to their own side.
I know here - every time the neighbours have their sprinklers on (all the time) we have NO WATER. |

| see if you can visit her one day and drop hints at how a cuppa would be nice, when she is not in the room hide a prawn somewhere she won't find it (in a curtain rod or shoved in the air con whatever as long as it is hidden) the smell would drive her nuts and she would be forced to move--problem solved (not my idea was joke i read somewhere) |

| I"ve calmed down somewhat since yesterday. I'm still livid about the plants. They weren't the el cheapos and before i planted them i asked her first if she liked them. I'm generally pretty easy to get on with but this petty woman insisted i pay for some turpintine she lent me to wash the brushes out after i painted her side of the fence. We live in villas, separate driveways and entrances. I think what got to me more was the lies she tells. Shes only been here for 16 months and walks around with short shorts (white seethrough) and no undies underneath. She knocked on the neighbours door to borrow something one night and had nothing on below, no undies, nothing except a shirt that reached to the top of her thighs. She's a big woman too and 50 something so it looked gross. I had a chat to the local police and they are aware of her and said they used to go to the previous place she lived at and cart her off to the local mental hospital. If you don't help her or she can't get her own way she says she's going to comitt suicide. Emotional blackmailer. Ayway, i went out and spent a few hundred dollars on a fence to block the lunatic out. Thanks for the laugh and yeah, i'm patient. I have all the time in the world to think up something. |

| Oh i forgot, she uses my hose to water her weeds when i'm out. The neighbour told me yesterday. I won't be talking to the nut again so as much as i'd love to stick a prawn in her curtains, that opportunity has passed .Damn .lol |

| Ok here goes, but if you live in villas may not be the best idea lol. But prawn shells in wheel covers work well. Takes a couple of days but it is soooooooo worth it lol. |
