I just clicked on a link in a genuine(YES,I`m not silly!!)Ebay email about all the latest changes to enter a comp in regards to winning an australia post pack and my anti-virus picked up a detection of something nasty!
This was a REAL email from ebay!!!

| Never respond to emails like that especially if they ask for information, they can copy a sites email to a tee, can appear original, but a site will never ask your for info via email if they inform you they will tell you to go to the site and sign in same with banks or any site etc that takes money from you never click on an email link to give out information, scammers are very good at what they do, so are hackers, never trust email, always go to the main site. |

Interestingly enough I have 2 email addresses I use for ebay, one has received this, one hasn't.
The same here & the only one that I get junk in like this is the one I used for e/Bay & pay pal.
I never started getting these e-mails till I used e-bay which is ONE of the reason I will not use e/bay & would not recommened it either.
A bit of topic but....hi ya pink how are you? been awhile! (smirk) LOL |

It would seem that my ebaying days may be over if I read correctly, aren't they making everyone use paypal for buying and selling? Not quite sure how it works :-S |
